Great place to stay in Jacksonville

5 am September 18, 2018

Great place to stay in Jacksonville. Close to everything including Britt. Beautiful grounds and rooms. Our number one place to stay in Jacksonville

Lovely room; fantastic breakfast

5 am September 13, 2018

Chose this place based on its advertised walking distance to the Britt and couldn’t be more pleased with the choice. Attractive room, delicious breakfast, pleasant host and the aforementioned walking distance to the concert venue made our overnight stay a very welcome break. Will happily stay here again next time we have reason to visit Jacksonville.

Delightful, convenient and wonderful!

4,8 am September 02, 2018

We really enjoyed this B&B for its charm and convenience to the Britt music and the downtown. The shops and boutiques were wonderful!

Wonderful Inn!!

5 am September 02, 2018

We love the Magnolia Inn!! Have been coming here regularly for years. Robert and Susan are so friendly and attentive to our every need. They have become friends! Susan's home baked treats in the morning our to die for! Downtown Jacksonville is within walking distance too. The Inn is clean and always decorated for the holidays and seasons. We will keep coming back!

Comfortable and accommodating.

4,8 am August 29, 2018

We came to Jacksonville for a Friday night concert at the Britt Fest. The owners were kind and accomodating and made sure we had a very nice stay. The bread pudding in the morning sent my husband over the moon.

We love the Magnolia Inn!

5 am August 27, 2018

There's nothing bad to say. Beautiful, great service, clean rooms, close to everything but quiet and peaceful, yummy breakfast. Really - it's a top-notch establishment and we'll keep coming back.

Visiting from UKt

4,8 am August 25, 2018

This was our first B and B stay in Oregon. We were made welcome by our host and she organised dinner booking for our first evening. A delightful and comfortable stay in a town full of interest. Breakfast was a do it yourself feast with Home bakes and fresh fruit.

A Reason to Visit Jacksonville, OR Again

4,8 am August 24, 2018

We picked the Magnolia Inn, in part, because of website pictures. The Inn actually looks better than the pictures. Great first impression. And it's cozy. The front lawn area, the deck, and the lobby are all inviting spaces, spaces where you can sit and watch the world go by till bedtime. Very relaxing.

Another excellent stay!

5 am August 12, 2018

This is the 10th time my 3 friends and I have stayed at the Magnolia Inn. We enjoy the proximity to downtown shopping, restaurants and places to walk. Susan and Robert are friendly and fun. They have always made us feel welcome and cared for. Our rooms are comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. The morning treats are delicious. We have met interesting and friendly people who are also guests. We enjoy the common areas and the beautiful grounds. I highly recommend you give the Magnolia Inn a try.

A cute B&B

3,8 am August 07, 2018

I wanted to rate this a "5" but the buttons don't work. This is a great place to stay. Very close to town, easy to walk everywhere. Room was immaculate, very comfortable. Breakfast was fresh fruit and homemade pastries, with several tables outside for dining. Friendly staff, very efficient.

Very enjoyable stay

5 am August 03, 2018

Robert pleasantly greeted us upon our arrival. The Inn was very nice in all respects -- cleanliness, comfortable bed, fluffy towels, and delicious/plentiful breakfast (including freshly-baked bread pudding). It's just a few blocks from the main downtown of Jacksonville. We stayed only 1 night, as we were visiting relatives for 1 day. We would definitely stay again.

July at the Magnolia Inn

5 am Juli 23, 2018

Always a great place to stay. The location allows you to easily walk around Jacksonville and up to the Britt ampitheater. Owners are helpful and nice.

Magnolia Inn - Britt Festival Stay

4,0 am Juli 18, 2018

Onsite dining limited to a very nice complimentary breakfast. My daughter and I much preferred the quiet intimacy of a small inn without onsite restaurant.

Great place.

5 am Juli 11, 2018

Awesome place to stay, will return. Owners wonderful, neat area.

A Beautiful Inn

4,8 am Juli 05, 2018

A beautiful dog-friendly Inn in historic Jacksonville. The well-appointed, tastefully decorated, dog-friendly Olivia Room is conveniently located downstairs and easily accommodated our two Golden Retrievers, who during our three-night stay seemed to enjoy not only our room, but also the outside table and chairs on the porch overlooking the colorful grounds— perfect for people-watching. The Magnolia Inn is everything it is represented to be— very well-maintained both inside and out, comfortable, quality appointments, convenient to pet and people needs and interests, and within a couple of blocks of downtown restaurants and stores. The Inn’s continental breakfast features fresh fruit, delicious breakfast pastries, and excellent coffee. The Britt Festival amphitheater is a few pleasant blocks from the Inn. The Innkeepers are engaging, attentive to details, very aware of the needs of travelers, and both professional and very approachable. We visit relatives in the area at least once each year, and with or without our Boys, we will definitely be visiting the Magnolia Inn on future trips. Read and believe all the positive guest reviews! Easily a five-star rating!

Lovely stay at the Magnolia Inn...

4,4 am Juli 04, 2018

We had our third fourth visit at the Magnolia and simply love this place. Robert ad Susan are so welcoming and helpful...it's always a pleasure to see them and chat with them. The rooms are comfortable and cheerful and the breakfast never disappoints...such a variety and all so fresh! It's our go-to in J'ville...we wouldn't think of staying elsewhere!!

Beautiful place!!!

5 am Juli 03, 2018

Jacksonville's Magnolia Inn is the best bed & breakfast inn that I have ever stayed in. My husband, daughter, and I enjoyed Robert and Susan's hospitality and friendly conversation. Our room and bathroom were clean, well organozed, with beautiful decor.

Wonderful B and B lodging

5 am Juli 02, 2018

Friendly hosts, great location, yummy breakfast options, incredibly clean, beautiful gardens and great cozy sitting areas.

A peaceful stay in a historic town

4,6 am Juli 01, 2018

We heard about Magnolia Inn from friends that have stayed there. The Inn is very quaint. It is beautiful, the hosts are friendly and welcoming, the rooms were comfortable and had a very cute dog basket and human amenities as well. The Inn is located in downtown which made walking to restaurants and surrounding neighborhoods so easy and pleasant! We will definitely keep this on our "go to list" when we travel through southern Oregon.

Superior Inn in historic Jacksonville, OR

5 am Juni 28, 2018

This is a superior inn, with awesome rooms, comfortable beds and cozy furnishings. The property is well maintained and perfectly located in downtown Jacksonville, an easy stroll to shops and eateries. The value was excellent and is a must visit anytime we are in the area, and the owners are delightful and attentive.

Great spot to relax

4,6 am Juni 12, 2018

I would recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Jacksonville. Very comfortable room, perfect location and friendly hosts. We will definitely stay again when visiting family.

Treat for Mum

4,8 am Mai 14, 2018

We are repeat visitors. This was a treat for Mother's Day. As always, a delightful stay. The Magnolia is a beautiful boutique hotel. Love that the guests have their own space. Stayed in a few different rooms over the years, and each one is a delight. The breakfast items are set out in the guest dining area at 7 a.m., and guests can graze at their leisure. We like not having a set breakfast seating time or being "forced" to eat with every guest, so the Magnolia is perfect. Big shout out for Susan's phenomenal banana bread! Absolutely delicious. Both Robert and Susan are welcoming and friendly, without being intrusive. This was a magical visit to Jacksonville. We will definitely be back again and will stay at the Magnolia Inn.

Charming stay in historic Jacksonville

5 am April 24, 2018

We stop over for the night when traveling to see the grandchildren. Always a pleasant and comfortable stay. Each room is clean, well appointed, and has its own individual charm and character. The hosts are welcoming and make sure our visit is enjoyable. We enjoy stretching our legs with a walk around historic Jacksonville and eating in one of the local restaurants. The visit is well worth the few extra miles off Interstate 5 to Jacksonville.

Superb Staycation

4,4 am Dezember 26, 2017

My husband and I spent two delightful nights here celebrating his birthday and ushering in the Christmas season. Accommodations were inviting, and Robert was hospitable and humorous, but never hovering. The food was excellent. We would recommend the Magnolia Inn.

Loved everything about it :-)

5 am Dezember 20, 2017

It was beautiful, luxurious, and the owner/managers were totally helpful and friendly.

Beautiful Inn

5 am Dezember 11, 2017

The Inn is beautifully decorated and maintained. Our guest room was very comfortable, including amenities not always found in B&B’s. The breakfasts were excellent! The innkeepers were always ready to answer questions or help in any way. Location is perfect as it is a short walk to the main street with lovely views from rooms at the front of the Inn.

Magnolia Inn is a great place to stay.

5 am Dezember 09, 2017

Great location, friendly staff, beautiful pet friendly room. Highly recommend.

Wonderful, Absolutely Wonderful

4,8 am Dezember 01, 2017

Having never been to Jacksonville, Oregon, we were unsure where to stay. Robert & Susan (and dog, Abby) were a delight to stay with. I highly recommend Magnolia Inn and plan on staying there again.

Wonderful Inn!

5 am November 23, 2017

We absolutely love this inn! Robert and Susan are amazing, very friendly and attentive to your every need. We have been coming here for the past 7 years and each time we stay it is wonderful! Walking distance to Jacksonville and the breakfasts are very tasty with Susan's homemade goodies. We will keep making this our week end getaway!

Nice place close to town

3,2 am November 17, 2017

Stayed in the only handicap room in the inn. No access upstairs to the breakfast area due to stairs. Friendly host. Nicely decorated. Very nice bathroom facilities.

Mom's Weekend 2.0!

5 am November 13, 2017

What a wonderful stay! Thank you all for making our annual trek the best. Cisco, you are a delight! Jacksonville in October is breathtaking, made even more so by the charming Magnolia Inn. We will be back next October!

Hungry handicap

3,4 am November 06, 2017

I was in room 1, the only ground level room. the accommodations were very comfortable with a sitting room on the ground floor. The only deficit is that the breakfast room is upstairs, so I had no access to the limited breakfast. The staff were very friendly. Great town!

Lovely stay at the Magnolia Inn...

4,6 am Oktober 14, 2017

This is our third stay with the Magnolia and it won't be the last. The welcome is warm and informative, the rooms are lovely, the breakfast wonderful. I can't imagine anyplace being as warm and inviting as the Magnolia. Robert is just a gem and we really enjoy Jacksonville.

September at the Magnolia Inn

5 am September 13, 2017

The owners and staff of the Magnolia Inn are the best. The inn itself is walking distance to the Britt and downtown Jacksonville. There is an art gallery across the street. We've been there when local artisans bring in their works. Also this time we visited there was a really great antique car show.

Great bed and breakfast

4,2 am September 03, 2017

We have stayed at the Magnolia Inn a couple of times and will book stays in the future - nicest people - great rooms - good coffee and breakfast

Delightful stay!

5 am September 03, 2017

The owners at Magnolia Inn are quite hospitable and very friendly. The rooms are clean and welcoming. The breakfasts are yummy, especially the bread pudding. The common rooms and porches are comfortable and tidy. Beautiful gardens. We truly enjoyed our three night stay and plan to return.

A Perfect Stay

5 am September 03, 2017

Robert and Susan were great hosts. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was incredible. We ate upstairs on the balcony and enjoyed the views. The Inn is within walking distance of all the best restaurants and town events. Perfect for a weekend or a week!

A delightful Inn - you must stay here!

5 am August 21, 2017

Jacksonville's Magnolia Inn is beautiful, comfortable and every detail is pertection -- to make your stay the best it can be. The hosts are very warm and welcoming, full of great advice for restaurants, sites, trails, wine. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The breakfast is excellent and low key - they put it out and you help yourself. We usually make a point to stay here twice a year. It is the best B&B I've ever stayed in.

New favorite place to stay in S. Oregon.

5 am August 17, 2017

Every comfort and convenience has been thought through by welcoming and helpful proprietors Robert and Susan. Gorgeous, cozy, ideal location for any visit to the valley especially if it includes music, art, wine, or the great outdoors.

Jacksonville's best

4,0 am August 16, 2017

A great place to stay if you are going to the Brittfest!

Amazing place to stay!

5 am August 13, 2017

Loved our stay at the Magnolia Inn! It was so relaxing and Robert and Susan were so friendly. The breakfast was wonderful with so many choices and the homemade breakfast sweet rolls were amazing! The Inn and Jacksonville was such a nice place to get away from the busy pace of life and the big towns. Would love to come back to stay longer and just enjoy the Inn and the peaceful surroundings.

Beautiful Inn!

5 am August 11, 2017

This is the second time I have stayed at this inn and I was just as thrilled with it as I was the first time. The rooms were charming and very comfortable and the grounds and gardens were glorious. I hope to return every year!

Another great stay!

4,8 am August 09, 2017

This is our third stay at the Magnolia over the last year. Chose it for a girls weekend for my birthday. Both rooms were lovely as was the daily breakfast. We enjoyed the veranda for breakfast and for evening cocktails. The Magnolia is conveniently located as it is only a couple short blocks from the downtown area which is full of dinning, shopping and the trolley tours. Thanks so much!!! We will definitely be back.

favorite place to stay in Jacksonville

5 am August 05, 2017

Home away from home...love this place. Everyone is always friendly and the breakfast always has fresh pastry, fresh fruit as well as all the regular things.

Magnolia inn

4,4 am August 04, 2017

The inn was wonderful, very nice grounds. The only issue was the corner room was noisy and very bright in the early morning. We will stay in a back room next time

Another Pleasant Stay

5 am Juli 25, 2017

My husband and I stayed at the Magnolia Inn for the second time while we were in town for the Britt Festival. The Magnolia Inn is wonderful B & B. You are made to feel at home upon your arrival, shown your room and given a thorough explanation of the home, it's rules and when the memorable breakfast takes place in the morning. It is clean and appropriately decorated. The owners are thoughtful; checking on their guests comfort throughout their stay. I would recommend the Magnolia Inn to anyone and plan to stay there again myself soon.

Jacksonville Gem

4,6 am Juli 25, 2017

Great location, super nice people and beautiful rooms. The onsite dining is good and Susan bakes some wonderful breakfast treats but I would like to see less packaging - real butter, cream, honey.

Great Stay in Jacksonville

5 am Juli 10, 2017

Beautiful inn, great location in town, friendly and helpful owners

Love this place!

4,0 am Juli 08, 2017

The Magnolia Inn is my go to stop between the Bay Area and Portland. The rooms are clean and cozy. There are no TVs in the rooms, but I don't need one so it's ok with me. I like the breakfast set up - very casual and you can use their refrigerator and freezer for your own things from your cooler. I've stayed there so many times that I thought the owner might remember me this visit but at least he introduced himself again, so that was nice. Nice people, great place to stay.

Relaxing Retreat in Jacksonville

5 am Juni 29, 2017

Our 'go-to' place when in Jacksonville. Walking distance to The Britt Festival and downtown Jacksonville. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated. Beds are comfy with high-end linens. Hosts David and Susan go out of their way to ensure your stay at the Magnolia Inn is perfect. The continental breakfast is enjoyed on the open air balcony. I cannot say enough about this lovely establishment.

Third time

4,0 am Juni 25, 2017

This was our third stay. The innkeepers are very helpful and gracious. We like the quiet nature of the inn. Breakfast is always a treat. It is a place that we will return.

Happy Customers

4,6 am Juni 23, 2017

We enjoyed our cozy room and excellent service from very nice hosts. Thanks for lending us chairs for the show and offering tips about the bus. It made our stay even more fun. This was my second visit and I hope to stay with you again!

Charming B&B!

5 am Juni 18, 2017

A friend and I stayed here on our way to Seattle. We arrived late but Robert was still there to let us in. The Claudette room was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. Breakfast was a treat with frozen waffles and delicious scones, after having standard hotel meals the previous mornings. We sat out on the balcony and enjoyed our meal very much! I highly recommend this B&B and plan to return some day!

Perfect place to stay

5 am Juni 07, 2017

My husband and I needed to get away for a break and decided to go wine tasting in the Jacksonville area. We found this place and absolutely LOVE it! The room we stayed in was very nice, clean, and comfortable. I really like that there are bathrooms in each room. We will definitely be back!

Fabulous Bed and Breakfast in historic Jacksonville!!

Lovely B&B in great location

4,4 am Mai 27, 2017

Very clean and cozy B&B. Many quiet corners and decks are available to sit and admire the beautiful gardens. Beds are comfy and linens are superior. Easy stroll to all that Jacksonville has to offer. We'll be back.

Honey Mooners

5 am Mai 14, 2017

I recently stayed at the Magnolia Inn at Jacksonville for my wedding night. I can not tell you enough good things about this place; they let me check in early so I could attend my wedding across the street. They had a very nice atmosphere, great service, great breakfast in the morning. All around was above and beyond what I could hope for in a small area such as Jacksonville. I would recommend it to anyone who wanted a cute, relaxing place to stay.

A Personal Favorite

4,8 am Mai 01, 2017

I stay here every chance I get. Great little inn. Great little town. They only serve continental breakfast or I'd give them 5 stars. Susan makes excellent breakfast baked goods. The other items, including the coffee, is always top notch.

Tops in class

4,2 am April 16, 2017

Warm, and friendly hospitality. Stunning B&B, beautiful rooms, caring and accommodating hosts, made The Magnolia Inn the perfect stay.

Wonderful stay at historic Magnolia Inn

4,6 am April 06, 2017

Had a wonderful stay here and enjoyed our room which had a musical theme with many instruments decorating the room. The location is perfect-easy to walk everywhere, and the owner was helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet and access to the guest kitchen were great.

A Gracious, Welcoming Inn

5 am März 30, 2017

Magnolia Inn is a beautifully maintained, charming B & B. Our room was handsomely decorated and comfortable. The innkeeper gave us an excellent recommendation for supper at a nearby bistro, and breakfast at the inn the next morning was excellent. The breakfast bread pudding was especially satisfying. We'll definitely return.

The best in Jacksonville

4,8 am März 26, 2017

This is the second time my sister and I have stayed at the Magnolia Inn on our way home from California. We absolutely love it. We stayed in Claudette's room both times as it has 2 twin beds (which is such a rarity at bed and breakfast type places). The rooms are beautifully decorated and always very clean and inviting. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a kitchen for customers to use and a lovely continental breakfast in the mornings. There are a lot of good restaurants in town and many within walking distance from the inn. If you find yourself in Jacksonville (and you really should) you can not do better than the Magnolia Inn. We will definitely be back!

So glad we visited

5 am Februar 22, 2017

My wife and I completely enjoyed our stay at the magnolia. A freind recommend it, and we are so glad they did. The magnolia will certainly be our place to stay whenever we visit j-ville again. Clean comfortable rooms, great breakfast. Our host Robert was helpful and genuinely great. Parking was ample and convenient, and location is nearly ideal, If you don't mind a short walk to get wherever you going. We welcomed this. Already looking forward to next time! Love staying at the magnolia!

Great weekend with friends and family

3,8 am Januar 31, 2017

Our group had a great time staying at the Magnolia Inn. The Inn was very well kept and everything was very clean and welcoming. We will try to all get together again and plan a stay.

Excellent place to get away and relax!

5 am Januar 29, 2017

Our kids sent us to Jacksonville for our 30th anniversary and we were not sure what to expect. When we arrived, Rob was very kind and gave us many tips on what to see and when to see it around town. We completely enjoyed our time there and will be looking to go back. Even though it was January, not the high point of tourist season, our room was perfect. The entire place is very clean and well cared for, and the breakfast was great with homemade and local pastries as well as fresh fruit and many kinds of drinks. We can't recommend this enough. We hope to come back during the summer to see all the trees and flowers blooming. The Inn is located very close to all the shops and is an easy walk to most of the places to see in Jacksonville. Rob and Susan are great hosts and will make you feel at home.

Wonderful accommodations!

5 am Januar 04, 2017

We booked at the last minute and had no idea what to expect. What a wonderful and pleasant surprise when we arrived. The Magnolia Inn is beautiful and in the perfect location. We will definitely return and will recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Rogue Valley.

Enjoyed our stay

3,6 am Dezember 08, 2016

The owners were super friendly, our room was very clean and charming, and the whole house was very cute and cozy. It was nice to be within short walking distance of everything in town. We really enjoyed our relaxing weekend here.

Thanksgiving stay

5 am November 30, 2016

What a darling venue - the owners could not have been nicer. The rooms are very nice and the breakfast foods outstanding. You cannot beat the location in the town of Jacksonville! Loved our time there!

Relaxing in a wonderful environment

4,8 am November 20, 2016

Two days during late fall - brisk days and chilly nights, and the Inn was a warm and friendly refuge. Not a single criticism. Friendly and professional owners. Perfect location. We'll be back for another stay.

Joy McNab

3,8 am November 13, 2016

Great place to stay in Jacksonville . Went to visit my Dad that just moved into Pioneer Village. Magnolia Inn was just up the street and I was able to walk to and from the village and the Main Street in town. Such a quaint little town and I will love coming back to visit! Only aspect that I did not know was there are no televisions in the room-so next time I will be sure to bring a book!

B&B to Revisit

4,6 am September 28, 2016

The minute we walked in, it felt welcoming and comfortable. I did not give the room (Eva) a five star rating only because of the street noise. The room is charming, the bed luxurious. Very clean. Robert is a great host and was there during breakfast to visit with guests. Our room was also directly across from the dining room, not a good choice if you want to sleep in. Staying at the Magnolia was a spur of the moment decision; making theEva room our only choice. This charming B&B is in walking distance to town and restaurants making a revisit a must for us.

Another great stay

4,4 am September 22, 2016

Great hosts, nice room and fantastic housekeeper

Another wonderful stay in Jacksonville

4,6 am September 19, 2016

This B&B is not only beautiful but has a great location as well. The management is very helpful with suggestion for eating. We also really appreciated the early entrance to the Britt passes. We had a delicious homemade breakfast bread pudding in the morning along with fruit and hard boiled eggs.

Beautiful getaway!

3,8 am September 18, 2016

Beautiful place to stay in Jacksonville! Very convenient if you are attending a Britt concert. Staff was extremely friendly, room was delightful! Would definitely stay again

Always a delightful place to stay

5 am September 17, 2016

The rooms are charming and comfortable, the breakfasts delicious, the hosts warm, friendly and incredibly helpful. We have come back many times, because this is such a delightful place to stay.

Gem in wine country

4,6 am September 15, 2016

Comfortable, clean, and in a great location. Very welcoming to guests with dogs. (Dog welcome basket was a great treat!) Thoughtful no-fuss breakfast laid out - enjoyed the normalcy and range of the options available. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

4,0 am September 14, 2016

We had a very relaxing stay; the accommodations were terrific and the owners were very friendly.

We keep coming back!

5 am September 06, 2016

The Jacksonville Magnolia Inn is a lovely, comfortable, delightful place to stay. The decor is pretty & charming, the beds & linens great, every detail is thought about, the breakfast delicious, healthful, ample and the hosts are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. We look forward to staying here very year.

Birthday Weekend

5 am September 04, 2016

For the past two years my daughter has taken me to the Britt Festival in Jacksonville Oregon while visiting the beautiful city for the weekend we will only stay at the Magnolia Inn. The service is excellent, the rooms are beautiful and spacious, the food is wonderful. You can walk anywhere in the town you want to go because of where the Inn is located. You are treated so special by the owners and made to feel like you are the most important guest they could have.

Best Birthday Celebration

5 am September 04, 2016

For two years in a row my daughter has taken me to Jacksonville for concerts at the Britt to celebrate my birthday. The only place we will stay is at Magnolia Inn Bed and Breakfast. Robert and Susan the owners are absolutely wonderful. They make you feel so special, the morning breakfast is good and plenty to eat while sitting on the veranda and looking at the beautiful yard. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with wonderful special treats like soaps, and cookies from Harry and David on the bed; which are very soft and comfortable. The Magnolia Inn offers more than you could ever want and it is so close to town you can park your car for the weekend and walk everywhere to eat and shop. If you go to Jacksonville you must stay at this incredible place. If you are planning a trip for the Christmas holidays then go to Jacksonville for their beautiful Christmas festivities and stay at the Magnolia Inn.

Another great stay!

4,2 am September 03, 2016

Attended the Britt Festival again and extended our stay so we could visit some of the local wineries. We were very pleased not only with the wines, but also the very friendly and helpful staff at each as well as the lovely settings. There are also some historic cemeteries in the Applegate Valley. More great conversations with Robert who, with his wife are proprietors the B&B. He's very helpful with recommendations of sights to see and places to dine as well.

5 am September 02, 2016

Our room was wonderfully quiet even though there were many guests and we were near some of the common areas and one of the primary roadways. The inn is in a great location - we were able to walk to downtown, the Britt concert, and also to the German restaurant nearby. Our host was very gracious to us and other guests

Second visit

4,8 am August 29, 2016

Everything was great. This was my second stay at the Magnolia, and I will stay there again whenever I'm in the area.

Amazing amazing amazing!

5 am August 15, 2016

I had such a wonderful stay here! The house is gorgeous, the rooms were all unique and beautiful. The service was fantastic. Everything was super clean. My favorite part is that they have one room that is dog friendly, which was great for my stay. The room is on the first floor, and the second floor which has the majority of the rooms is off limits for dogs which is ideal for dog lovers and non dog lovers :) Will definitely be back :)

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

5 am August 07, 2016

Check in was pleasant and very friendly. All of the staff I encountered we're helpful and nice. My room was perfect and comfortable and the ground we're lovely. Nothing left to do but enjoy my stay with my friends. I loved it there.

Country B&B

4,4 am Juli 30, 2016

Welcoming, knowlegable owners of an establisment in a beautiful setting. Close to shopping, restaurants and walking distance to the Britt. Perfect stay!

Charming B&B

4,4 am Juli 29, 2016

The owners and staff at the Magnolia Inn are very friendly. My wife and I have stayed there twice so far and will definitely stay there again. There is a nice balcony with tables and chairs for relaxing during morning coffee or in the evening with a glass of wine. The proximity to Jacksonville's local restaurants and the Britt Theater is perfect for walking instead of driving!

Recent stay

4,8 am Juli 18, 2016

The owners were very accommodating and friendly, and we even got to pet their dog!!

Magnolia Inn

4,2 am Juli 18, 2016

This is the second time we have stayed. It is very nice, centrally located and the innkeepers are friendly and helpful.

Wonderful B&B!!

5 am Juli 07, 2016

We have been staying at the Magnolia Inn for 6 years, several times per year. We love this beautiful and very comfortable B&B. The innkeepers, Robert & Susan, are very nice and thoughtful and have become treasured friends. Breakfast is always a treat! The location is great for all that there is to do in the area. We will keep returning to our home away from home!

Glorious Getaway

5 am Juli 02, 2016

As is usual with our stays at Jacksonville's Magnolia Inn, the room was perfect, the host and hostess more than accommodating, the food perfect and plentiful!

A wonderful experience!

5 am Juni 29, 2016

This was our first visit to Jacksonville and we couldn’t have stayed at a more pleasing place than Magnolia Inn. Our room was charming, full of considerate amenities, and the bed was very comfortable. Our hosts were a wealth of information as to what to do and where to go in Jacksonville for the best experiences within our two-day stay. We loved sitting on the charming veranda in the morning for our delicious breakfasts and later in the afternoon for a lively game of cards and enjoyable viewing of the neighborhood. Magnolia's own gardens and landscaping are gorgeous and inviting, a feast for the senses.

cute, comfortable, and quiet.

3,8 am Juni 24, 2016

Would definitely recommend the Magnolia Inn. The innkeeper is friendly and helpful, the place is very cute and located close to everything, and the room was, spacious, quiet and comfortable. I'll be back.

Above and Beyond Help

4,2 am Mai 25, 2016

As one who worked with Susan to arrange housing for guests at our wedding, I can't recommend Magnolia Inn highly enough. In every way Susan helped make the time smooth--from date fluctuations, finding nail salons, putting our personal notes in the appropriate rooms, she went above and beyond.

Wonderful stay!

5 am Mai 20, 2016

It was our first trip to the lovely town of Jacksonville for my mother and me and we will certainly return. The Magnolia Inn was a highlight with beautiful gardens, very friendly hosts, a wonderful breakfast in the morning and the location was short walking distance to downtown. Our night spent at the inn was a perfect and peaceful stopover on our long road trip to California!

Great place to stay in a Great area!

5 am Mai 01, 2016

Robert and Susan are great hosts! Always ready with a recommendation for a restaurant to winery that are spot on. Very accommodating when we needed to modify our reservation, especially when wanted to change it back. We have stayed at the Magnolia Inn a number of times and will continue to visit there and recommend the inn to our friends.

The owners were friendly and so knowledgeable about the area. I enjoyed my stay and highly recommend the Magnolia Inn.

Wonderful people.

4,0 am März 15, 2016

Met some crazy ladies from Alaska and points in between enjoying a reunion. No television or phone in the room, just exactly what we wanted for our mid tax season get away. Could have slept longer but much to do in J'ville.

5 am März 08, 2016

This place was amazing, truly. I could go on and on but instead, I recommend you go stay a night there yourself and check out the guestbook in the dining area for my review. Not that the review is outstanding but the Inn is. You'll be all the happier for visiting.

SO pet friendly!

4,6 am März 03, 2016

Sue & Bob were great hosts! They have a pet and go beyond expectations to make you and your pet feel welcome. Room was warm and pleasant to be in, sleep in and exceptionally clean. We have family in the area and will visit Jacksonville's Magnolia Inn again!

Wonderful Jacksonville B & B

5 am Januar 13, 2016

We frequently stop over in Jacksonville when we travel I-5. The Magnolia Inn is one of our favorite places to stay. The owner/host is very accommodating and a great local resource, rooms are beautiful decorated and the breakfast is huge and delicious. Thanks for a lovely mini-get-away in Dec.

Great stay at Magnolia Inn

3,8 am Januar 09, 2016

I stayed at Jacksonville's Magnolia Inn over Christmas and it was a great experience. Since I was there over Christmas there were many special touches and a surprise by the owners that was very thoughtful. I would like to return in warmer months to take advantage of eating breakfast outside on their large porch. The rooms were clean and the beds and pillows were comfortable. I would stay there again.

A charming winter's eve

5 am Januar 04, 2016

My husband and I came to town off season for a bike event and we were totally charmed. We will surely be back. Our room had a very comfy queen bed with a nice warm comforter. Just the thing for a chilly winter evening. We spent the evening happily poking at our laptops in a sitting area, and walked to dinner a few blocks away. We liked the user friendliness of the guest kitchen and breakfast, the furnishings, and the comfortable welcoming atmosphere. The little snacks like the jars of red vines and the fresh berries (in winter??) were a nice touch.

Beautiful B&B in Jacksonville, Oregon

5 am Dezember 23, 2015

Our 43rd anniversary was spent at this delightful B&B. The location allows a short walk to the main street which in December is decorated with holiday lights galore. This was our second stay at the Magnolia Inn and we will certainly return.

4,8 am November 03, 2015

We stayed at the Inn two times and our trip to the coast. Both times were lovely! Comfortable beds, clean, quiet and our hosts were friendly and helpful! The location was great, we walked everywhere. We would definitely recommend staying and will be back!

Fall Getaway

4,8 am Oktober 30, 2015

As always, our stay at the Magnolia Inn was spectacular! The rooms are gorgeous. The food delectable. The grounds are amazing!!!

One night stay very nice!

3,8 am Oktober 28, 2015

Very nice overall and very sweet dog! But will take a room near the back next time to avoid some road noise.

A lovely place to stay in Southern Oregon

3,6 am Oktober 06, 2015

This is a charming bed and breakfast in a quiet quaint touristy town. Everything was as expected and quite nice except for the outdoor noise - lots of traffic noise even with windows shut in our room. They supply ear plugs.Probably quieter if you stay in a room that doesn't face the main road. Breakfast was self serve and had lots of options. The yard was beautiful. Nice owners.

Britt Festival Stay

4,6 am September 04, 2015

We had not been back to Jacksonville for over 20 years and decided to take in a Britt Festival performance. We selected the Magnolia Inn after an internet search. We were extremely pleased with our stay and will definitely return in the next few months. Robert (proprietor) met us when we checked in and throughout our stay offered great recommendations on things to do and told us about the history of Jacksonville. He is going to portray a historical character in an upcoming event in Jacksonville. There was so much more to do in Jacksonville than we thought so we must, and will return. One evening we had another couple over to have an evening picnic on the upper veranda and it was just delightful. This is a wonderful B&B. Lovely and the proprietors care about their guests.

Excellent place to stay in Ashland area

5 am Juli 13, 2015

We attended two plays at OSH and stayed in Jacksonville. We had visited Jacksonville several times, but never considered staying there. It was great. We will be back.

Outstanding jewel off the beaten trail

5 am Juni 23, 2015

Everything was excellent, very cozy place, the details are amazing, very close to town and walking distance to everything.. The grounds, building, rooms and all the amenities are great. This is a true jewel off the beaten trail.. I would recommend to anyone.

Wonderful 5 night stay

5 am März 31, 2015

Robert and Susan were wonderful host. We chatted with Robert a number of times. Very friendly. The Olivia room was well appointed. I needed a first floor room and this was perfect for us. My husband brought down every morning from the upstairs breakfast room , fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, muffins, and the best coffee. Would definitely recommend this Inn.

We LOVE Magnolia Inn, Jacksonville, OR!

5 am Januar 13, 2015

Love being greeted by Abby, Robert and Susan's yellow lab. We're dog lovers so it's a great touch. My BFF and I came for my December birthday. The Inn was decorated so beautiful for Christmas. I just took my hubby there, for a belated holiday weekend. We stayed in the Eva room, so gorgeous, as all the rooms are. Susan and Robert are so nice, it's like visiting with family. Next I want to take our daughter for a mom and daughter weekend. Love the Magnolia Inn, a gorgeous comfortable retreat!.....Sherri and Tom Corporandy

Every Little Detail

4,2 am Oktober 28, 2014

Beautifully decorated and no detail is missing. The owners are friendly and helpful beyond expectation. Highly recommend this treasure in Jacksonville, Oregon.

Felt Like A Queen!

4,6 am Oktober 24, 2014

We absolutely loved the Magnolia Inn and look forward to staying there again sometime. It was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in away from home. It was absolutely wonderful and I felt like royalty in it. The innkeepers are very personable and so was the rest of the staff. It was beautiful in every way. I higly recommend it!

Great B&B in a great town.

4,4 am Oktober 12, 2014

Robert and Susan are wonderful hosts and they have done a terrific job with the Inn both inside and out. The bed was very comfortable and it was difficult to decide which room we wanted to reserve. Susan makes wonderful homemade baked goods and there was fresh fruit to enjoy each day. Robert gives great tips about places to visit. At the end of each day, we enjoyed spending time outside on the balcony or porch, looking at the beautiful surroundings, and savoring a glass of wine and/or beer made locally. We felt very welcome and can't wait to return.

Very Comfortable for Wheelchair Users

5 am Oktober 10, 2014

The Magnolia Inn's wheelchair-accessible room is very comfortable and spacious. Robert and Susan were extremely welcoming and accommodating. I plan on staying there again, and would highly recommend it to anyone in a wheelchair.

Wonderful!! We loved it!

4,8 am Oktober 08, 2014

This is the second time we have stayed at the Magnolia Inn. We love how the owners remembered our names and were so friendly and welcoming. We loved it!

Well Done!!

5 am Oktober 08, 2014

This place is absolutely the most clean, the most friendly, well-done and "romantic" spots in the West. It would be worth going to Jacksonville just to stay at this BnB to hang out and relax there! Well Done. We will return forever.

Cozy, clean and comfortable!! Great base for wine tasting!!

5 am Oktober 02, 2014

We always travel with pet and some establishments may say they welcome dogs but in reality don't. The Magnolia Inn is sincerely hospitable and welcoming without being intrusive like some B&Bs. And they love dogs, which makes the difference. The kitchen/common area was well stocked with all the comforts of home including a jar of red licorice! Nice touch! And cucumber water in the afternoon. The terrace was beautiful for outside dining and tables and chairs tucked in quiet spots galore! We will be back with friends next time! And Robert is so knowledgeable about the area and recommendations for dining and visiting wineries!

Beautiful rooms, helpful owners, lovely location and grounds.

4,4 am September 25, 2014

Charming B&B with beautiful grounds; gorgeous, well-maintained rooms; quiet and relaxing stay. I wish the breakfast was cooked to order, but it seems those are few and far between these days. It would also be nice to have non-GMO or organic foods available, but the farmer's market across the street on Sunday and organic restaurants nearby gave us some nice food options.

Wonderful B&B

4,2 am September 25, 2014

What an adorable B&B! We stayed in the "Maureen" room that has a musical theme. The location was just a 5 minute walk to the Britt Festival and convenient walk to the downtown area. The bed was super comfortable and the grounds provided many quiant areas to sit and people watch with a glass of wine. We will definitely stay there every time we are in Jacksonville.

loved it

4,8 am September 23, 2014

Spent one night in the Magnolia Inn on a road trip but we wish we would have stayed longer. Just a lovely place to hang out and Robert and Susan were totally delightful. We really prefer the casual breakfast on our own time schedule as opposed to the sit down at a table with strangers B&B. Highly recommend!

Warm and friendly storybook getaway.

5 am September 23, 2014

What a great B&B to stay in for all the right reasons. Proximity to the entire town of Jacksonville, peaceful and clean lodging and the most wonderful selection of breakfast yummies laid out for you every single morning by 6am! I especially appreciated the array of fresh fruits offered as I am on a restricted died. The gardens are award winning quality, and sitting amongst the beautiful roses while the sun rose every morning was truly magical! The innkeepers, Susan and Robert, make sure every detail is attended to, and their housekeeper Cisco is so much fun to talk to. You must see the refurbished vintage camper they keep in the back of the inn! You will not believe the amazing things that can be done to those little gems. The best part is that it was a gift from Robert to Susan, so it has a wonderful story you will want to here when you stay at The Magnolia Inn. We hope to visit again during the Christmas season. The entire town is decorated in white lights, and the inn has a fabulous tree all decked out in unique decorations Susan puts up in the front room where you will check in. I highly recommend staying at The Magnolia Inn if you are visiting Jacksonville, Oregon!

Definitely worth it!

4,2 am September 22, 2014

We could not have been more pleased with the accommodations. The owners were friendly and helpful in giving us activity and dining suggestions. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated giving their attention to the smallest details to make your stay a pleasure. The continental breakfast included locally grown, fresh fruit and home baked pastries and was exquisite!

Two day Getaway--Septembert 9---11, 2014

5 am September 16, 2014

We have stayed with Robert and Susan in their Magnolia Inn several times. We love it so much we book for the next year before we leave! it is a short walk downtown so their location is ideal. They are both very welcoming and friendly and have excellent advice in terms of fun things to do, dining and directions. We love our room, but have reserved a somewhat larger one for next year as one of us does wake up early and loves to read without waking the other! The continental breakfasts are perfect--you can eat as much or as little as you desire! A jem in Jacksonville--we are so happy we found it and them!

Top Notch B&B in Applegate Valley (Ashland,Medford, OR)

5 am September 15, 2014

This is the second year I have stayed at Jacksonville's Magnolia Inn over the Labor Day weekend. Service and amenities are superb, location is in the quaint downtown of Jacksonville, and is very convinient to the Brit music festival, local wineries - you can walk to several tasting rooms, and with a short drive visit Ashland for a Shakespeare play. The inn is also ideal as a base for day trips to the Rogue River Gorge and Crater Lake. Innkeepers Robert and Susan are fantastic and Abbey the wonder dog is not to be missed. A very comfortable place to call home. Note on my dining rating: The Inn itself offers a wonderful continental breakfast, with local fresh fruits and baked goods. There are also hard boiled eggs for protein. It does not offer a full restaurant. My dining rating refers to the breakfast itself and the many wonderful restaurants within 1 to 2 minute walking distance.

Weekend Get-A-Way

4,2 am September 14, 2014

The rooms were nice and the grounds spectacular. The location is perfect and the owners were very helpful.

Beautiful Place!

4,4 am September 13, 2014

Lovely gardens, clean luxurious comfortable room, excellent breakfast, convenient location and helpful friendly owners!

Fantastic Anniversary!

5 am September 05, 2014

My husband and I celebrated our 45th anniversary by attending the Britt and staying at this wonderful bed and breakfast, a first for us! Our room was beautiful and Robert was so friendly and helpful. We loved our stay and appreciated the wonderful hospitality. The breakfast scones and pastries were delicious. What a perfect way to celebrate 45 years. We will definitely stay at the Magnolia Inn again.

Staying at the Magnolia: How to help Owners fulfill their dreams of B&B ownership

2,2 am September 05, 2014

The exterior of the inn is very inviting. The gardens are full of flowers and blooms. Once inside, everything changes. Room are quite small and the bed is a queen. The beautiful flowers are not matched by even one fresh bud in the room, only a cheap plastic arrangement of dusty flowers. A Bed and Breakfast usually prides itself on a hearty, hot breakfast. The Magnolia offered instant oatmeal, coffee, cantaloupe, watermelon, blueberries, pastries, and a bundt cake. Nothing hot, not even boiled eggs. I expected a hot breakfast buffet for the price we were paying for the room. Medford is only 5 miles away and offers much nicer hotel rooms with hot breakfasts for the same price or less. I got the impression from check-in by the female owner that she is somewhat jaded on the whole experience. Not a very friendly welcome, very business like and clinical. One would expect a more personal touch from owners/operators. In a B&B, it is the little things that make a big difference, but the little things are lacking here. They are banking on the charm of Jacksonville and the history of the Magnolia Inn as a former sanatorium, now B&B. The biggest piece of advice I could give to any B&B owner is this: You have invested a lot of money to purchase your property, spend some money and take some hospitality courses on how to properly run a B&B. Don't assume that just because you bought the property that you possess the necessary skills and knowledge to know how to run it. The experience at the Magnolia is not about serving the guests, but about helping the owners fulfill their dreams of B&B ownership. Next time through, we will definitely stay in Medford, 10 minutes away and drive to Jacksonville to enjoy the town.

Antwort des Gastgebers

Thank you for your comments, and we are sorry you felt we did not meet your expectations. We strive to insure all guests experience a wonderful visit with us. We post the facts that we have queen beds and serve a continental breakfast on our website. We do not like surprising guests. We have found that customers, at times, fail to read the descriptions of the lodge when booking through a third party (Expedia, etc), and that is why we always recommend a direct phone call to the establishment. This way we can answer any questions, discuss any concerns, address any special needs to assist in making the stay with us the most satisfying possible. While we feel that our expansive continental breakfast, featuring home baked pastries, available throughout the morning, is very appealing for the vast majority of our guests, we understand there are others who relish the formal seating, multi-course fare. Beside the "best beds we've ever slept in", to the "friendliness of the proprietors", our most frequent comment is: "There is so much attention to detail - you both have thought of everything".

- Robert & Susan (innkeeper)

I chose the Inn for a business trip since I needed to do some writing. I stopped and bought a some local cheese, bread, wine and chocolate and spent the evening on the lovely veranda enjoying a quite rain, writing. My room was just right. I liked the self-serve breakfast in the shared kitchen / dining room. I look forward to staying here again.

4,2 am Juli 19, 2014

Excellent B&B, nice rooms, good location great simple breakfast

Charming, peaceful & comfy

3,6 am Juli 11, 2014

I love this Inn, and the town of Jacksonville. My stay this time was in a different room. All the rooms are beautifully decorated and arranged and inviting and comfortable. The only thing I missed this visit was a TV in the room. I realize most people use their computers/ipads, but I've grown accustomed to falling asleep with the TV on for comfort, so I had trouble getting to sleep. I've since heard that most B&Bs don't have TVs, but that wasn't true of the one I stayed in the night before I arrived at Magnolia Inn. Nevertheless, it is an exquisite B&B and very affordable.

In the future we won't stay anywhere else in Jackson County! Just off main street with easy access anywhere in Jacksonville; close to Britt Festival. Robert and Susan's background in the hospitality industry shows through in their warm and welcoming personalities. Light continental breakfast with CLEAN and comfortable room. 5 stars for sure. Thank you john and terri rossi lake oswego oregon

Great location! Great hotel!

3,8 am April 04, 2014

Had a wonderful getaway to a great spot. Really enjoyed this inn. More private than a usual b & b. Rooms are small, but light and nicely furnished. Many wonderful touches: kitchen use, videos, popcorn and candy to munch. Owners are very friendly and provided good info on the local happenings. We'll be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Magnolia Inn! The innkeeper and staff were all so friendly and helpful, offering us suggestions for restaurants and shopping. I would definitely return and recommend it to everyone! Thank you for a relaxing, wonderful time.

Absolutely Amazing

4,6 am Dezember 11, 2013

The Jacksonville Magnolia Inn is a "Top Notch" Bed and Breakfast. They are dog friendly and each room has their own bathroom. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the beds are comfortable. Sip your coffee with a homemade pasty of the veranda. Susan and Robert were gracious hosts and think about everything. For example, our group was going wine tasting. Susan and Robert prepared tote bags for us to take along with us. In the bag was water, a snack, and mints. It is the little things that will bring me back to this place. Thanks again, Susan and Robert for a fantastic time!

Wonderful Christmas Outing

4,4 am Dezember 10, 2013

The Magnolia Inn is a charming Inn. We were allowed to check in a bit early since the rooms were ready. All doors to the rooms that were yet unoccupied were open, so we were able to peak in each room and found them all to be charming, comfortable, and clean. We stayed in the Helen Suite, and it was perfect with windows facing the backyard and adjacent church. Homemade banana bread awaited us in the morning along with other pastries, toast, cereal, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, coffee, juice, and cocoa. After indulging the day before at the great restaurants in Jacksonville, this lighter fare was just what we wanted. Our hosts were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely go back.

Wow!! What attention to detail.

5 am Dezember 09, 2013

I travel for a living and vacation at B&Bs, so I often enjoy very high-end service and amenities, but this place takes the cake. When l decided to vacation in Jacksonville, I selected the Magnolia because it was beautiful and was in a great location. Once I got there, I realized that I made the absolute right decision. The owners and staff were the friendliest and most helpful of any I have ever seen. Their knowledge of the area attractions was fantastic and they basically handled anything and everything for me. I cannot imagine going to Jacksonville without staying here. As for the accommodations, I can only say that the attention to detail is what made it for me – absolutely amazing! I can’t say enough about this place, but I will tell you that I will be back for sure!

Jacksonville Perfection

Absolutely amazing-Outstanding

5 am Dezember 05, 2013

My wife and I stayed at the Magnolia in November 21-24, 2013. The experience could not have been nicer. Owners Robert and Susan were the consummate hosts. They were friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the town and surrounding area. The room and grounds were immaculate. We did not want to leave and can't wait to return.

Heaven sent

5 am November 29, 2013

My wife and I spent two lovely nights at this wonderful B&B!!! Robert and Susan have a beautiful place in one of the "neatest" little towns anywhere. Jacksonville, Oregon, has history and a quaintness in perfect harmony. Hit the Applegate wineries for a taste of what the Napa/Sonoma region had fifteen/twenty years ago. We will be repeat customers for sure!!!!!!

A lovely place to stay!

5 am November 12, 2013

We've stayed here twice now and we'll visit again. The hosts Robert & Susan are great. They're helpful, friendly and easy to talk to. The rooms are clean and comfortable (the beds are heavenly). The inn is situated close to everything you might need or want. Everything is decorated so nicely. The Magnolia is great and Jacksonville is a wonderful town. Come and stay, you won't regret it!!!

Very friendly and informative staff. Very welcoming and hospitable home. We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back anytime we are in the Medford area.

Our overnight at the Magnolia Inn

5 am September 20, 2013

The Magnolia Inn is a wonderful Bed & Breakfast. The home is large and decorated very nicely. We stayed in the Maureen Room. The guests stay on their own floor with a Kitchen in the middle. It's a very nice set up and you feel very comfortable staying at the Magnolia Inn. Robert and Susan are very nice hosts. We received some great tips for stops along the way to Crater Lake. I'm only sorry that we didn't stay two nights.

Excellent B&B in one of our favorite Oregon towns

4,0 am September 15, 2013

Beautiful, updated facility: loved the instant hot water in the room. If you're looking for a full 'hot' breakfast this isn't the place. If you prefer an expanded Continental breakfast with the emphasis on quality and freshness, look no further. Another plus is the charming and comfortable 'porch' next to the serving area. Susan was our first contact when checking in and we found her friendly and informative. We think, however, that the PR part of this job is placed firmly in the hands of Robert. He is the epitome of an interactive innkeeper, answering all questions but also giving great suggestions of his own. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone not requiring a full hot breakfast and the 'serving' that goes with it.

Nice time

3,8 am September 14, 2013

We had a great time at the Magnolia. Very comfortable and great service. A tiny bit on the expensive side, but I believe we received value for the money. We enjoyed it and would definitely go back.

Bright spot on a weather-challenged day

4,0 am September 10, 2013

We drove from Yachats to Jacksonville. On the drive we encountered a major weather front including lots of hail. When we drove up to the Magnolia Inn, it was as if the bad weather never happened. Once inside their front door, we felt warm and happy. It was cheery and welcoming. We enjoyed our visit.

Britt festival

3,8 am September 06, 2013

The accomdations are lovely. It was an easy and interesting walk to the Britt Festival for our concert. Right through the heart of the town where we were intrigued by the historical buildings, inviting cafes and antique shops. The balcony is an especially nice place to linger over breatkfast when the weather is warm. The innkeepers and their staff are friendly and very helpful. The only thing that I wondered about was the continental breakfast - it was adequate and there was a nice selection. However it seemed below par when comparing it to the full course breakfasts that we have enjoyed at other B&B's for the same nightly rate.

Highly recommend.

4,4 am September 05, 2013

Outstanding location. Made to feel at home and extremely helpful staff. Breakfast was limited to coffee, pastries, and fruit which was fine for us. Highly recommend.

Magnolia Inn

4,8 am September 05, 2013

The owners are very personable and took care of all our needs. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was continental style. The fresh fruit and pastries were delicious. We enjoyed how close it was to main street (two blocks), but far enough away to remain quiet and private. We enjoyed the patio area where tables are randomly setup to enjoy breakfast or wine and snacks. We will be staying there again.

A delightful stay

4,0 am September 01, 2013

The grounds and building were beautiful. Sitting on the terrace was a treat. The room was very comfortable with a spacious bath. All the amenities you would expect to make your stay comfortable. Very clean, and the staff was helpful and engaging. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay!

5 am August 27, 2013

Great place to stay! Friendly folks who are glad to accommodate.

August 2013

3,6 am August 23, 2013

Beautiful Inn. Spacious bathrooms. Loved the TV/VCR combo! Super nice hosts and beautiful garden!

Everything was first-rate, except that I felt that the bedroom rug could have been vacuumed more often. The bathroom was kept very clean.

4,6 am August 15, 2013

Wonderful accommodations. Everything was excellent, except that I felt that the bedroom rug could have been vacuumed more often. The hosts were extremely helpful and hospitable. Baked goods really delicious.

Felt right at home in this lovely appointed bed and breakfast.

5 am August 08, 2013

We recommend this inn to anyone staying in Jacksonville. For us, the convenience to Britt was great for walking, yet not right on top of all the foot and car traffic. Owners are friendly and accommodating. I could live there. C. Taylor, Eugene, OR

The Magnolia Inn is Wonderful!!!

4,2 am Juli 27, 2013

We had never been to Jacksonville before and found it very charming. We are so glad we chose the Magnolia Inn. It's the perfect place to stay while in Jacksonville. Susan Roos is welcoming and very helpful. We received very personalized service. We will definitely return!

Delightful B&B in fun historical town. Lots to do!

4,6 am Juli 22, 2013

We went to the Magnolia Inn with friends to explore a new area of Oregon we had never visited. Our stay was delightful and Susan was more than accommodating to meet our needs. Rooms are very nicely appointed, extremely clean with thoughtful touches to enhance your stay. We loved it!

4,2 am Juli 19, 2013

loved it, and will definitely go back!

Wonderful B&B

4,6 am Juli 18, 2013

The Magnolia Inn is a wonderful place to stay. The accommodations are great. It is a very comfortable place to stay..home away from home. The staff if wonderful, friendly and accommodating. Susan make delicious homemade breakfast goodies along with a delicious assortment of fresh fruits. I highly recommend staying here.

Home aay from home.

4,8 am Juli 15, 2013

Our son and his bride reserved the Magnolia Inn as accommodation for their families at their wedding at a nearby winery. What a wonderful place for the 2 families to come together. It felt like a large family home. The breakfast room was perfect for wedding preparations and the large veranda was perfect for relaxing and getting to know one another. Robert and Susan were gracious, patient and very helpful in dealing with all the little crises that go along with memorable family events.

Happy Again!

5 am Juli 13, 2013

A very pleasant stay. My granddaughter and I stayed and the owners were so delightful and made our stay extra special. I am a continuing recurring guest and just love this comfortable, quaint, cozy, immaculate inn.

Loved my stay

4,8 am Juli 10, 2013

This was a wonderful bed & breakfast. Staff was super warm & friendly, felt like old friends. It was cute & super clean. I loved my little room. Breakfast was an expanded version of a continental, just perfect. There's s wonderful upstairs patio to sip coffee & soak up the morning sun. I will definitely stay here again.

A very pretty B&B in the heart of Jacksonville

4,4 am Juli 10, 2013

This B&B is beautiful inside, and the grounds are lovely. It's across the street from the old courthouse, and within walking distance to everything in town. My only regret is that the huge magnolia in front wasn't in full bloom (mother nature can't be rushed, I know). The gentleman who greeted me at the desk was very friendly, and extremely helpful (the next morning, he gave me coupons to Harry and David, after I mentioned I was stopping by there to shop). A very nice place to stay!

The Best Bed and Breakfast in the Country!

5 am Juli 08, 2013

I could have stayed forever! My only regret is that it was TOO short! AND i loved loved loved my room and it's lovely color.... i was sleeping with Maureen Thank you again for being there for us weary travellers! Patti Doran

Historic Beauty

4,6 am Juli 06, 2013

Jacksonville's Magnolia Inn offers an elegant historic charm to traveler's. The gardens and rooms are kept in pristine condition. A friendly and welcoming experience was enjoyed. Hospitality was at every turn, from cheerful gardens to down to earth care from our hosts. The location is fantastic and the food beheld the comfort and care offered at Magnolia Inn.

Second Timers

4,4 am Juli 04, 2013

This is the second time we stayed at the Magnolia Inn. It is a great place to stay at a very good price. The rooms are tastefully decorated and well kept. The owners are wonderful people and are extremely knowledgeable about the area - they will gladly give you information about the Britt festival, local wineries, places to eat, Rogue River attractions, etc. The breakfasts are simple but good - please note that it is a continental breakfast, although some of the baked goods appear homemade (we had some good scones when we were there). All in all this is an exceptional bargain for the Jacksonville area and is highly recommended!

Beautiful & Cozy

5 am Juli 04, 2013

Would go back in a heart beat!!! Friendly...beautiful .....air conditioned!!! LOVED it.

Loved The Place!

4,8 am Juli 01, 2013

The Magnolia Inn was amazing. beautiful, clean, comfy, and friendly. I will return and tell my friends. Owners are so wonderful and friendly. Thank you for a great experience.

4,2 am Juni 30, 2013

Everything was wonderful. Lovely room, easy walk to the Britt! The only disappointment was breakfast. My sister had stayed there and talked about her lovely breakfast on the out door patio. When we went to the breakfast room it wall filled up with a large group of very loud people. The only food I saw was two loaves of bread and a toaster. My husband said her saw some fruit on the table but there were people in all the chairs and we didn't feel comfortable staying. We checked out and went to breakfast somewhere else.

Charmant Bed & Breakfast

4,2 am Mai 25, 2013

Wir haben uns in diesem Bed & Breakfast sehr wohl gefühlt.

One night is not enough!

4,8 am April 17, 2013

The only regret we had about our stay at Magnolia Inn is that we couldn't stay longer and enjoy this beautiful inn and delightful little town! One night is not enough.

Exceptional Inn Experience

4,6 am April 15, 2013

The Magnolia Inn is a great find! The house and rooms are well decorated, very clean and every detail addressed. Breakfasts included wonderful local pastries, fresh fruit, health-conscious cereals and breads. The coffee was perfect; very strong and fresh - yum! The hosts, Susan and Robert, couldn't have been better. They were there if you needed anything but were not intrusive. We had a wonderful time and plan to return soon.

Wine Weekend

4,6 am April 02, 2013

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in March to do a little wine tastine in the Applegate wine trail. What a wonderful experience. The owners are so friendly and helpful with where to eat and what to do. it is only 2 blocks from town so we walked everywhere. We stayed in the Suzette room and it was perfect. Our friends stayed in Olivia on the 1st floor and really liked it. Loved eating fresh fruit and drinking our morning coffee on the balcony each morning. I am telling everyone I know about this place!

We love this place.

5 am März 26, 2013

We have stayed here 3 times now, and it is always a very nice experience. Robert and Susan are very friendly and give great tips on good restaurants and places to see in the area.

Historic Hideaway

4,0 am März 06, 2013

A cute little gem in very historic Jacksonville. Pet friendly, provided treats and conveniently located near a closed in field. However, disappointed that the inns yard was off limits for potty breaks. Provided poop bags but no waste cans. Lovely town, lovely food, lovely B&B. Plan to go wine tasting while you are here.

The best deal in "the best kept secret" in Oregon

4,6 am Februar 28, 2013

What a delight it was to spend a night here. Everything in this "best kept secret" of an Oregon town is within walking distance. (Look up "Jacksonville Oregon" to find out why it's on the historic register). The Inn and rooms are comfortable and inviting. The breakfast is yummy. The owners delightful to get to know. And the rates are reasonable. I recommend the Magnolia Inn for either locals or travelers. Go!

Charming getaway at The Magnolia Inn

4,8 am Februar 27, 2013

My husband and I did a quick overnight to Jacksonville In Feb 2013 and stayed at The Magnolia Inn. We have been to Jacksonville many times but this was the first time we stayed at The Magnolia. Robert was a great host and a pleasure to talk with. We stayed in the Suzette room and it was wonderful. We loved the decor and the bathroom is huge. Having been in the Travel & Tourism business for most of my career I have to say that this was one of the best experiences we've had. It is a beautiful property with an outstanding value. We will most definitely stay there again and will recommend it to everyone. Kate -Portland, OR

My recent stay

5 am Februar 16, 2013

I had a wonderful quick visit at the Magnolia Inn this past January 2013, and found it excellent, the owners are charming and so is their Inn, the breakfast room and all the wonderful choices they provide was outstanding. I will return again. Gail Sackloff, London UK.

5 am Februar 16, 2013

Charming inn right in Jacksonville. The owners are wonderful. I love their kitchen, open 24 hours with anything you could want.

5 am Februar 13, 2013

We spent 2 nights at the Magnolia Inn last weekend for the first time and it could not have been more enjoyable. Everything about the Inn was perfect for us and it will always be our first choice of places to stay in Jacksonville.

Wonderful stay at Magnolia Inn

4,8 am Januar 04, 2013

Charming in in the heart of historic Jacksonville. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Wonderful, welcoming, helpful owners and staff. I'll definitely stay here again and have been recommending it to friends and family.

Lovely, Quiet, and Classy

4,4 am Dezember 10, 2012

Wonderful bed and breakfast with lots of thoughtful details and service. I especially appreciated the guests' community kitchen where one could store and prepare food.

Nice place, great hosts, excellent value.

4,0 am Dezember 03, 2012

Because most of the public areas are balconies, porches, etc. (plentiful) can be a bit confining during rainy days. Also, one pet room on 1st floor, no access to second floor. Would not bring my pet here, again, particularly during times of inclement weather. Hosts were great. Best rooms in my view are Courtney and Helen.

wonderful stay

4,8 am November 30, 2012

Excellent stay. Great hosts and amenities. Will enjoy returning in the future.

Very cute and cosy Bed and Breakfast! Lacks on the basics though.

4,0 am November 29, 2012

We had a really nice stay. The people are very nice and resourceful. They even have and old school VHS tape library where you can pick your movie for the night! The only thing I would say is that the mattresses are bumpy and the breakfast is more of a continental breakfast. Normally, when we stay at a Bed and Breakfast, we expect a hot breakfast and dairy options to put in in the coffee and fresh juice. There were boiled eggs, a fruit salad, home made pastries, yogurts and concentrated orange juice in cans. They have coffee or tea ready but no milk at all. I could have really enjoyed a fresh juice or a hot chocolate (with milk, not water).

Very pleasant place to stay.

4,6 am November 22, 2012

The blue berry coffee cake was delicious.

Magnolia review

3,8 am November 07, 2012

The place is great and close to everything Jacksonville has to offer. The owners are very friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and places to visit. I would stay here again.

Great Place to Stay

4,6 am Oktober 31, 2012

We found the room clean and comfortable - the owners were friendly and shared their knowledge of the area - it was a nice relaxing weekend - we enjoyed walking around the town and seeing the sites.

Historic Charm

4,6 am Oktober 26, 2012

This "downtown" Bed and Breakfast sits in the heart of historic Jacksonville and is historic itself. The owners go out of their way to make a stay as comfortable and fun as possible. Each room has a different decor and when, we were there, the whole house had a harvest theme. The home made breakfast treats are fantastic. The guest veranda was the perfect place from which to view the garden and the fall colors. I would reccomend this for anyone interested in a slightly different getaway.

we love this quainte place and the owners are vey nice and make you feel welcome

4,8 am Oktober 23, 2012

we enjoyed our stay and will return.it si a cute and freindly town and the home was very nice and welcoming for us.

The Magnolia Inn is amazing!

5 am Oktober 22, 2012

We have stayed here twice now and this most recent time we were on our honeymoon. The attention to detail here is incredible! Every thing about the Inn is gorgeous! We loved being able to pop open a bottle of wine and relax and chat on the veranda. The Magnolia Inn definately has the atomosphere of being at your home away from home. It's one of our favorite places and we look forward to future visits! ~Dave and Crystal Gordon

Wine tour

5 am Oktober 21, 2012

We were pleasently suprised. The hospitallity was great and will return again. It was totally quiet and the rooms was were well decorated.

magnolia inn

2,8 am Oktober 14, 2012

The staff was nice and friendly. The breakfast was a little weak because it was a continental breakfast. I would have been ok with the breakfast but the coffee was terrible. It was translucent and weak. I like coffee that is strong and robust. So on both mornings I ended up going to a local coffee shop to get my fix.

Best place in Jacksonville

5 am Oktober 10, 2012

My wife and I have been staying at the Magnolia Inn for 10 years and have never had a bad experence. The seasonal decorations are always enjoying, and the grounds are spotless. Thank you for making my wifes birthdat a very special one. Philip and Tracie Simi Redding Calif.

We'll be back!

4,4 am Oktober 03, 2012

My wife and I celebrated our 1st anniversary at Magnolia Inn and the experience met and exceeded our expectations. Robert and Susan were wonderful hosts and Jacksonville is a great place to get away. We made it out to Applegate Christian Fellowship for a relaxing time of worshipping God outdoors in a relaxed setting on Sunday morning, and all in all had a wonderful weekend!

Jacksonville Gem

4,2 am September 19, 2012

Great B&B in historic Jacksonville. We enjoyed our room - loved the detail in the decor. The inn is modern but with a feel of older days. Good breakfast is included and plenty of other amentities. The owner, Robert, welcomed us and answered all our questions. Great place to stay and see Jacksonville.

1-Night Stay

3,8 am September 09, 2012

Just passing through town, had a good nights' stay. The host was very helpful & welcoming, and accommodating regarding a safe parking place for my motorcycle. Need a very solid breakfast so I ate out, except for some yogurt.

Amazing Stay!

4,6 am September 04, 2012

We were only able to stay one night, in town for a concert at the Britt...I wish we would have blown off the concert and just hung out at the Inn. Amazing place! Beautiful grounds, amazing room, I would HIGHLY recommend staying here to anyone. We received such a warm welcome on our arrival. Perfect nights stay...wish it could have been longer. We will definitely stay here again!

B&B Agréable et de qualité

4,8 am August 25, 2012

Très belle maison, chambre (Ashley) et communs joliment décorés Jardin et véranda très agréable Très bon petit déjeuner

Fantastic B&B!

5 am August 24, 2012

We loved our stay at Magnolia Inn. We were welcomed warmly by Robert when we arrived. We got in just before check-in time ended, but Robert took time with us to give recommendations on where to dine and what to see during our brief one-night stay. We arrived hungry, but quickly settled our tummies with the delicious cookies available at the entrance. Our room was lovely, quiet, comfortable, and we enjoyed a fantastic sleep! Robert and Susan's attention to detail was astounding. Our only complaint is that we wish we would have stayed longer than one night. Jacksonville was a gem and this B&B was incredible!

Very nice B and B

4,4 am August 21, 2012

Robert and Susan have a great place and love sharing it. We had the Maureen #7 room and it was just right. Very clean and the Inn is withing walking distance to all the fun stuff in Jacksonville. Great breakfast!

Magnolia Fan

4,8 am August 20, 2012

We love staying at the Magnolia. Robert and Susan are always friendly and welcoming. It's like staying at our "home from home". We love the continental breakfast, which always has delicious fresh pastries and fruit, with unlimited tea and coffee!! The balcony is a great place to eat breakfast and watch the world go by!! Lesley and Brad

perfect place to stay in jacksonville

4,6 am August 15, 2012

A delightful inn! Friendly and knowledgeable innkeeper with great advice on dining and wineries; a garden ablaze with colorful flowers; a veranda to eat breakfast on; and lemonade or flavored water to greet you.

Sweet, comfy, and clean

4,2 am August 04, 2012

A great location, very comfortable accomodations, immaculately clean, and appropriately furnished and styled.

A most welcoming place

4,2 am August 02, 2012

This lovely house with its beautiful gardens is a most pleasant place to stay. Robert and Susan have thought of every detail and their hospitality knows no bounds. You are made to feel welcome the minute you walk through the front door. Each room has been decorated with care. Should I return to this area, I would definitely stay again. Linda Jones

Can't wait to return

4,4 am Juli 31, 2012

We were welcomed from the moment we arrived. There were truffles on our bed, and freshly baked Britt snacks to take to our concert. The balcony and front poach are inviting and relaxing. The rooms are small, but nicely decorated and include the little touches that make you feel at home. The fresh fruit, coffee, juice and scones made for a great way to greet the morning while dining on the balcony. There were plenty of choices for a variety of tastes. As soon as we got home from our visit to the Magnolia Inn, we made reservations to return! Thank you, Sue!

Great B&B

5 am Juli 30, 2012

Just stayed 1 night. Great place, plan to go back! Outstanding decor, friendly owners, good breakfast (Apple/Pear Turnovers were great).

Magnolia Inn

3,8 am Juli 27, 2012

The inn is conveniently located in Jacksonville. There was some traffic noise Saturday night, likely due to Britt Festival attendees. Our room seemed small, and the husband wished for a larger TV. Still, the continental breakfast provided choices--including fresh fruit, hard-cooked eggs, jogurt, and juice, among the usual offerings. The staff were extremely pleasant and congenial.

Wonderful stay...

4,4 am Juli 25, 2012

My wife and I had an excellent time at the Magnolia Inn. The overall atmosphere was very pleasant, the room was quite comfortable and there was so much to see in Jacksonville, all within walking distance. We are already talking about making a return trip soon!

Blissful B&B

4,8 am Juli 21, 2012

My sister and I shared a two-room suite. It was perfect! We were able to walk to Britt, which was also great. The owner could not have been friendlier and I would certainly stay here again.

Best B&B Ever

5 am Juli 16, 2012

My wife and I, along with two other couples, were in Jacksonville for a Kris Kristofferson concert and all stayed at the Magnolia Inn. We all agreed it was absolutely the best possible place. They have plenty of nice clean rooms. Bob and Susan could not have been more hospitable. It’s a perfect walk from the Britt back to The Inn on a summer evening through the wonderful town of Jacksonville. We plan on making this an annual event with home base being the Magnolia Inn.

Very pleasant stay n- charming town

4,4 am Juni 28, 2012

What a great way to enjoy the Peter Britt or Shakespearean Festivals. Your hosts are pleasant and extremely helpful. Rooms are all you could wish for. The pictures on the Internet are very accurate. Everything around the B&B was clean and well cared for. Jacksonville is a charming town with lots to do.

great place to stay

5 am Juni 26, 2012

I love this place-people are great -town has charm I will continue to go back for many years to come -

Magnolia Inn - great location for Jacksonville experience

3,6 am Juni 13, 2012

We parked our car upon arrival and didn't touch the keys again until leaving Jacksonville. This B&B is ideally located within walking distance of everything worth seeing in the town. An additional benefit was the Sunday farmers market across the street for fresh vegetables and fruit for those planning to picnic their way north on the Applegate wine trail. ( highly recommended ). The only down side was that guests decided to park outside our window on the balcony in the early am while retelling their stories from the 50's, 60's & 70's which we could hear too well at 7:00 am...next time, we'll ask for a room on the opposite side of the house! Good value at the price point and the owners were very helpful, accommodating and non-intrusive. We plan to stay again.

I'd Go Back Again!

4,8 am Juni 11, 2012

We really enjoyed our stay at Magnolia Inn. The owners were delightful, the atmosphere was so relaxing and peaceful, and there were extras that really made a difference--platters of fresh fruit at breakfast, lots of fun snacks, a ref rig for my yogurt, and more. It was great!

Lovely B&B

3,0 am Juni 10, 2012

Love the dining area. The room is a bit small and the bed is too high for us. I kept knocking on the bed frame and got a few bruises. Overall is a nice and cosy place to stay. The hosts are very nice people too.

4,6 am Juni 01, 2012

You know just by looking at the building it is going to special. It only gets better. The rooms, balconies, yard, hospitality.... are all comfortable, memorable.... "special". We not only highly recommend The Magnolia Inn. We keep coming back. John

A wonderful experience!

4,2 am Mai 31, 2012

We enjoyed our room & and would not hesitate to stay there again. A wonderful experience. Loren & Kathy

Just lovely

3,6 am Mai 02, 2012

We had a lovely stay. It was just for the one night. We were just passing through heading down to California. Robert made us feel very welcome and answered all our questions. He even helped us with the rest of our trip giving us advice on the best way to go and what to see. Would definately recommend Magnolia Inn. Wish we could've stayed longer.

Love this place!

4,6 am April 16, 2012

This was our third visit to the Magnolia Inn and they never disappoint us. Always clean, always friendly and very comfortable rooms. We brought Roscoe P. Coltrane our lab and they left a basket in our room just for him (blankets, toys and treats). Fabulous place, you will not be disappointed, I promise! Redding, CA

Comfortable and Welcoming

5 am März 21, 2012

We have stayed there twice and it has been the same experience. The Roo's make you feel like family. The rooms are very nice, clean and comfortable. There is a continental breakfast in the morning with fresh fruit and pastries that make dieting impossible.

Such a treat!

5 am März 20, 2012

We had an amazing time at the Magnolia Inn! Robert and Susan were so hospitable, they really made our stay so special. Our room was really charming and comfortable. They knew it was my birthday and they had chilled champagne and chocolates waiting for us on our arrival. We loved that the Magnolia Inn was just a minutes walk from the downtown area. We will certainly be back and we highly recommend this to anyone else.

4,2 am März 13, 2012

Very nice owners, beautiful rooms, thankfully it was very quiet while we were there. (Weekday night in the winter.) Thanks for a great time.

Charming Inn

4,6 am März 12, 2012

We stayed at the Magnolia Inn February of 2012 for a baby shower (first grandchild!). What a great Inn! Our room was called The Madison I think, which is a corner room and we loved it. Sash windows with views of church and hills from one side and quiet street and church on the other. The bed was very comfortable. Robert and Susan made us feel very welcome and made some excellent local dining suggestions for both nights as well as the local winerys. We loved the Inn and will definitely come back. Quaint, quiet, within walking distance of downtown Jacksonville, lovely breakfast choices. Susan baked something yummy and fresh each morning. Thank you Robert and Susan. Mathew and Susan Knerr

Charming Inn

A real gem of a B&B in Jacksonville OR

4,4 am Februar 22, 2012

The Magnolia Inn in Jacksonville OR is a charming place, conveniently located and easy to find, walking distance to great restaurants and all that Jacksonville has to offer. The hosts are welcoming and they go out of their way to accomodate special dietary needs of guests. We've been here twice and will be going back.

Great place for a friends reunion

4,0 am Februar 15, 2012

What a wonderful place to stay! We were greated by Abby when we walked in the door.... wonderful for 2 dog people to walk into! Everything was wonderful. How nice it was to find a B&B with 2 beds in one room. We will definately be staying here again the next time I fly home to visit.

beautiful inn, quaint town

4,0 am Januar 22, 2012

Robert was very helpful in giving tips for a nice dinner and things to do. The Inn is more beautiful than the pictures, which is very unusual! I will definitely be back.

Romantic Getaway

5 am Januar 20, 2012

My husband and I stayed at the Magnolia Inn for our anniversary. As soon as we came threw the front door Robert made us feel right at home. He even recommended local restaurants that created the food we wanted. The room we were assigned was beautiful and we were pleasantly suprised to leave and come back later to find champagne in our room. Robert and Susan go all out for their guests and we will be sure to visit again.

I would stay there again any time.

4,8 am Januar 04, 2012

This is by far the best value on lodging that I have seen in Jacksonville. It is easily as nice as any other place for 10% less.

Wonderful Christmas!!

5 am Dezember 30, 2011

We stayed here over the Christmas weekend and had a great time. We have stayed here before and it is always a joy to return. The inn is beautiful, comfortable, clean and always a great breakfast with home made goodies. Robert and Susan are the best. So friendly and helpful. This has become our Jacksonville home away from home! Jim and Nancy

4,6 am Dezember 28, 2011

The Magnolia Inn is right up there with the best we have stayed at. The owners were a joy to meet. We stayed during Christmas so everything was decorated and a feast for the eyes.

stay again

3,4 am November 26, 2011

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Magnolia Inn. At $99/night it was by far the best value around as well. We stayed in a room on the balcony side of the home and next time would choose a quieter, more private location on the back side of the home but all in all we were very happy here. Above and beyond our expectations!

One Night Was Not Enough

4,8 am Oktober 29, 2011

Thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing experience. Robert and Susan are incredibly gracious and helpful hosts. Loved it so much that we booked for Christmas the morning we checked out. Cannot wait to return!

Memorable Experience!

5 am Oktober 27, 2011

Innkeepers take time to personally get to know you; very helpful and informative; rooms beautifully decorated; beds comfortable; delicious breakfast with a variety of pastries, fruit, juices, etc.; grounds are just beautiful providing areas to relax outdoors or on balcony. Exceeded all of our expectations!

Jacksonville instead of Ashland?

4,0 am Oktober 24, 2011

We didnt find anything suitable in Ashland for our stay in the area, so we chose the Magnolia Inn in Jacksonville. The quality and beauty of the place and the friendliness of the innkeeper more than compensated the distance we had to drive to Ashland.

A lovely stay at Magnolia Inn

5 am Oktober 19, 2011

On a recent road trip up to Portland with our little dog, we found Magnolia Inn as a "pet friendly" place to stay for a couple of nights in order to explore the area. The owners were friendly with alot of great information about things to do. The continental breakfast was nicer than most and everything was so well kept. We highly recommend the Magnolia Inn as a great place to stay and Jacksonville a good location for exploring the Souh East Oregon area.

Our Favorite B&B

4,2 am Oktober 16, 2011

My adult daughter and I go to the Magnolia Inn every October. We love it there....Robert and Susan are very friendly and easy to talk to. They keep the inn immaculate and the continental breakfast is wonderful....I especially like the fresh fruit, and the pastries from a bakery there in J'ville. I grew up about 3 miles from there and it is a wonderful trip down memory lane every year! I would definitely recommend staying there. Jacksonville is a wonderful town to see.

No hot breakfast didn't even matter!

4,8 am Oktober 15, 2011

Normally, a B & B without some sort of hot eggs in the am would be a deal breaker - not this time! Everything about this place was so right - including the available snacks & drinks 24/7 - that the scrumptious pastries the next morning were more than satisfying. Highly recommended. We loved it & will likely return.

One of the Best!

4,6 am Oktober 11, 2011

We recently stayed at this lovely B&B on our way from Southern California to Washington and could not have been more pleased. In fact, we liked it so much, we stayed there again on our return. Robert is the consummate host and did everything from suggestion dinner spots to helping us get a few clothes washed. Cute B&B in a really delightful small town.

great stay

3,4 am September 19, 2011

The location is quiet and the rooms are a great value and very comfortable.

pleasant surprise

5 am September 17, 2011

I traveled to the area on business and frankly think the hotels in the Medford area are below average compared to the same hotel type elsewhere. I have stayed in Ashland at a very nice boutique hotel and loved it but decided to try this since it was less expensive. It was a much better value with breakfast included and everything about it was great. THe couple that owns and operates it could not be nicer people and will accomodate any needs you have. Such a great experience it is my new hotel when I am in the area and I plan to take my husband with me for a R&R weekend in the near future.

A plus to our stay in Jacksonville

4,6 am September 12, 2011

Very well located and inviting. Our hosts were pleasant and very well informed. The breakfast buffet was great. The possibility of eating on the terrasse with a view was nice. The best B&B in our 10-day trip to Oregon!

4,8 am September 07, 2011

Our stay at the Magnolia Inn was perfect. My husband wasn't excited about staying at a B&B, but now he has a different feeling about them, so thank you for having us. The Inn is within walking distance to the Britt Festival, restaurants and shops. The hospitality was warm and welcoming and the sheets were wonderful!!!!!

Upscale Quaint - Will be back!

4,4 am September 06, 2011

Magnolia Inn was perfect for our stay in "upscale quaint" Jacksonville -- a short walk from shops, restaurants, Brit, and amazing cemetery, with easy parking. Our room was immaculate and well cared for (as was the entire Inn), with just the right amount of decor; chocolates and a couple area magazines were waiting for us. The bed was plump, comfortable, and featured gorgeously-carved head- and foot-boards; windows let in ample light (along with blinds). Bathroom was spacious, with good water pressure, convenient toiletries, and space for necessities. A small writing desk, period-style chair, and cable tv completed the room. The "general" areas were lovingly arranged and spotless (sitting room, guest kitchen and dining room, veranda); books, videos, and games were available. The entrance and gardens were beautiful and welcoming. Robert was kind, friendly, and helpful -- upon arrival, departure, and at breakfast. Continental breakfast consisted of coffees, teas, juices, waffles and syrup, fresh pastries, several fresh fruits, toast (and perhaps more that I just don't remember). We enjoyed this casual style, with no silly "seating times." The second-level, covered veranda opened off the dining area. If we had to offer any suggestions at all, they would be: brighter bedside lighting (at least in our room); larger, plusher bathtowels; a simple protein at breakfast (maybe peanut butter for the toast?). However, these in NO way detracted from our stay; we chose cuddling over reading; the provided towels were just fine; and we certaintly didn't starve after those immense pastries! Indeed, we would (and hope to) return and would NOT consider any other BnB in Jacksonville. This ranks with the best of our BnB stays. Robert and Susan have established a charming, comfortable, well-thought BnB that's perfect for its locale -- and for us.

A Great Home Away from Home

4,6 am September 03, 2011

The Magnolia Inn has charm and warmth with gracious innkeepers in Robert and Susan Roos. We are "seasoned" B and B guests and found The Magnolia Inn quite comfortable with fabulous beds and beautiful decor. We like the casual, serve yourself breakfast because we like to eat when we want without the structure of the assigned meal time. Having a "kitchen" available to meet our needs was a big plus! We highly recommend this Inn as a great "home away from home" -- great value for the price!

As pretty as the Name

5 am August 31, 2011

We try to get to Jacksonville at least once a year and usually stay at Jacksonville Inn at one of the honeymoon cottages. Magnolia Inn was just as nice and we will be returning next time we visit.

Going back next year!

4,2 am August 31, 2011

Perfect location and great hosts! The room was well-appointed, very clean, it was a pleasure to sit on the many verandas.

Magnolia Inn

3,4 am August 24, 2011

We got a warm and informative welcome at the Magnolia Inn. The grounds were very attractive with many places to sit, read, or just enjoy the view. The room was spacious and attractive. The carpet needed cleaning or or replacing. The bathroom was clean and well-supplied. I would recommend it for a stay in Jacksonville.

Very welcoming!

3,8 am August 22, 2011

Very warmly greeted by the owners and treated like old friends. The room was very comfortable, the food very tasty, the veranda very relaxing, the people very gracious. This my second stay with them and I will go back again!

Can't beat freshly baked cookies

5 am August 20, 2011

This was our second stay at Magnolia Inn. The first was just an overnight stop. We liked it so much that we decided to stay there again for two nights. The décor is very tastefully done, providing the inn with an inviting and relaxed atmosphere. It is also quiet and peaceful. The pastries at breakfast were far too scrumptious and the addition of freshly baked cookies in the afternoon was a nice touch. Hope we can go again in the near future. It is a wonderful place!

Stay at Magnolia July 2011

4,8 am August 14, 2011

This was our second visit at the Magnolia Inn, and both times we enjoyed our stay immensely. The rooms, main inn and gardens are all beautiful, and Robert is friendly and informative. Breakfast is serve-yourself, with fruit, delicious fresh pastries, coffee, etc. Lovely dining room or veranda where you can enjoy your meals. The town is delightful and there was a craft fair across the street the weekend we were there which we were abe to enjoy.

You can go "home" again!

4,8 am August 14, 2011

My husband and I were very happy to return to Magnolia Inn after 4 years to find that we could have an even better experience than our first. The owners Robert and Susan have redone all the rooms, keeping the charm and provided us with a relaxing comfortable stay. Hope that we will be able to return without having to wait another 4 years!

Our trip to Jacksonville

4,0 am August 08, 2011

The owners were fantastic and even dealt with unforseen problems that arose with competence and patience. We loved the beautiful spot and the decor of the inn. I felt wrapped in luxury!

Memorable Stay

4,2 am August 04, 2011

Very accommodating and a nice location where you can walk to anywhere in town. Wonderful to wake up and sit on the veranda overlooking the street and watching the world go by. I would stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone else who ventures into Jacksonville Or.

Birthday Celebration

5 am August 02, 2011

We had a wonderful stay in June, 2011. Robert and Susan handled beautifully some special needs which arose during our visit. The ambiance, their warmth, the helpful suggestions, and great food made this a birthday celebration we will never forget! We will be back!

Just Perfect.

4,4 am August 01, 2011

Location - Just close enough to everything. Rooms - We've visited 2x's. Both times the rooms were gorgeous. Food - Backed goods, fruit, coffee. Scrumptious. Pets - We have a service dog but register as pet usually. They had a basket of goodies for him and not a lot of rules that were unreasonable. We felt very welcome with our pet/service dog.

An Unexpected Delight

4,6 am Juli 25, 2011

The gardens virtually beckoned us to relax in their beauty. The decor throughout the rooms constantly delighted and the friendliness of the staff almost unbelievable. We came needing a break and found stimulating renewal. Bravo to Robert and Susan. Paul Pulliam

Love the Magnlia Inn

4,2 am Juli 24, 2011

Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Jacksonville! Combination of price, quality of room and grounds in general, location in town (walking distance to Britt too), plus friendliness of owners, make it an unbeatable location!

Great stay. Very friendly owners

4,2 am Juli 18, 2011

We stayed over the Forth of July. Great rooms, quite and a wonderful balcony.

A fine B & B

4,0 am Juli 16, 2011

I used to stay at the McCully House, but have now switched allegiance to the Magnolia Inn. It is a delightful place and Robert and Susan are excellent hosts.

Great place

3,8 am Juli 16, 2011

Lovely place to stay. We needed a dog friendly room and they accommodated us perfectly. Charming decor and surroundings, and very friendly service.

Magnolia Inn

4,4 am Juli 12, 2011

Beautifully appointed, convenient location. Host and hostess were very charming.

easy walk to Britt

4,4 am Juni 28, 2011

The Magnolia Inn is a beautiful, charming, and delightful place to stay, and a nice alternative to the traditional B&B. Rather than the typical sit-down breakfast at a pre-set time, one can meander out later in the morning and help one's self to a nice variety of pastries, fruit, yogurt, and cereal. The hosts are friendly and accommodating. The Inn includes all kinds of thoughtful amenities including earplugs for a sound night's sleep!

Magnolia Inn

2,8 am Juni 28, 2011

Lovely place, great location. Would stay there again, but nothing special in particular to recommend it

Adorable place to stay in a quaint little historic town.

5 am Juni 24, 2011

The innkeepers were very helpful and gracious. Our room felt like we were in a tree-house. Very private and clean.

A lovely Inn at a lovely location

3,8 am Juni 22, 2011

We recently stayed at the Magnolia Inn at the recommendation of some friends for a wedding. The location is outstanding, as it is in walking distance of downtown Jacksonville. The innkeepers are very friendly. The Inn itself is very lovely, and the grounds are well kept and inviting. We would highly recommend this B&B to our friends!

Jacksonville's Magnolia Inn

4,6 am Juni 21, 2011

We stayed in the Olivia Room and were very, very comfortable. It was roomy, nicely decorated and clean. The owners were extemely helpful and knowledgeable about what the area had to offer. The breakfast was serve yourself and had a good variety of things to choose from including some lovely homemade pastries. Eating outside on the terrace was a delight. The Inn is a short, easy walk to the main area of town.

Our opinion

3,0 am Mai 25, 2011

We have stayed in quite a few B&B's and our expectations are generally what is described in the online introduction. Magnolia Inn is a beautiful B&B in a quaint charming town (would like to observe in busy summer though). Because of our experience with B&B's it is hard to describe things as exceeding our expectations, because our expectations of B&B's are that things should be in most cases better than average. Our only surprise (did not want to use complaint), is the noise generated by traffic on the front part of the Inn at night. The room we chose was on the front side. Overall it was very nice, and would stay there again, but choose another room. Fortunately the traffic disappears from ~11pm to 6am. Now we know why you supplied ear plugs. Thanks for the great experience.

THE place to stay in Jacksonville, OR

4,8 am Mai 15, 2011

Great host and hostess... instant friends. Great recommendations for food, sightseeing, real estate and more. A car is unnecessary to tour Jacksonville from this location... great place to walk. Highly recommend.

Very warm welcome

5 am April 24, 2011

At Magnolia Inn, you don't feel you are customer, but you feel like you are family. It was a very nice experience. Robert and Susan were very nice and very welcoming. Wonderfull breakfast with nice people to meet and to talk with. Thank you so much to both of you. It was really great. (Antoine from FRANCE)

A Quick Stay

5 am April 19, 2011

Although we only stayed one night, we will return. Our hosts were super and the breakfast bread, baking as we arrived was delicious. A very warm environment in this historic B & B.

A relaxing place to stay

4,8 am April 17, 2011

The room was outstanding with a very comfortable bed. If you need to go some place to unwind, this great starting point. The breakfast is very good with several choices and something different every morning. This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here and we hope it won't be the last.

Perfect place to stay in Jacksonville

4,8 am März 22, 2011

This is the absolutely perfect place to stay in Jacksonville. We stayed in mid-March 2011 and would definitely stay here again. The location, the rooms, private baths, price - all outstanding. The best is the breakfast - great variety and the owner makes her own coffeecake, muffins, yogurt parfaits! The owners are very nice and helpful too. We'll be back!

Romantic get-a-way

4,2 am Februar 27, 2011

My husband and I wanted a romantic getaway and choosing the Magnolia Inn was the right decision. I chose it because of the outstanding $$ value during the off season and will return in the future because of the ambiance and service we received during our stay. We couldn't have asked for better hosts, Robert and Susan’s attention to detail was outstanding. Each evening we returned to find delicious little goodies and candies in our room and had nice chats with Robert each morning in the breakfast room upstairs. The inn was quiet and peaceful, exactly what we were looking for. For the value I highly recommend the Magnolia Inn. There is so much to see and do in the surrounding area that we definitely want to go back again and very soon. If I were asked for a suggestion of improvement for our next stay, not as a complaint mind you but as a suggestion, I would ask for a small protein item to be added to the continental breakfast. Perhaps a slice of cheese, a hard-boiled egg or a peanut butter for those of us that don't do well with carbs in the morning. Thank you Robert and Susan, you are both delightful and we look forward to visiting your Inn in the future.

Perfect Night Away!

5 am Februar 19, 2011

Magnolia Inn was a perfect spot for a Valentine's night away. We settled in around 3 and watched movies in our room from the fun selection on Magnolia's bookshelf. We were totally blown away by the personal touches. Our names were written on a heart on the door, and in our room we found a basket of Valentine's goodies including iced champagne and truffles. For dinner we walked the down the block to Bella Union and had their legendary Mr. Jacksonville pizza and Bailey's cheesecake. Our bathroom, bedroom, view of the town and the overall atmosphere was truly lovely. An awesome breakfast, including fresh local pastries and Susan's coffee cake met us in the morning. We enjoyed a quiet and friendly chat with Robert and some other guests and easily could have lingered past check-out. Can't say enough about this place...charm everywhere you step!

Wonderful stay

4,0 am Februar 09, 2011

My wife and I stayed Saturday night February 5 and had a great experience. Our room was very tastefully decorated. The proprietor gave us an excellent restaurant recommendation and accurate driving directions for places we needed to visit in and around Jacksonville. The breakfast was all that we needed to start our day. We would be very happy to make a return visit.

Excellent place

4,8 am Januar 20, 2011

We loved this place and definitely plan to return! Magnolia Inn has so much character, and our room was spacious and comfortable. I especially liked the kitchen bar setup upstairs which allowed us to come up and go to match different schedules.

What a Charming Inn!

4,6 am Januar 18, 2011

We spent 3 nights over New Years at the Inn and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our helpful Innkeepers had thoughtfully provided us with some New Year's goodies in our room. We had access to refrigerator, microwave and pretty dishes so we brought great leftovers from dinner home for lunch the next day - and we had walked to dinner. Loved downtown Jacksonville. This was a great base for exploring the area, and we will look forward to returning to read books out on the welcoming verandah.

Nice place with great location.

3,6 am Januar 04, 2011

Nice clean place with a comfy bed and outstanding hosts. Will definitely be staying there again.

Magnolia Inn December 27 - 29, 2010

4,8 am Januar 03, 2011

We were in Jacksonville to attend a wedding and stayed at the Magnolia Inn for 4 nights. Robert and Susan were wonderful hosts and very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Madisson room and it was very comfortable. Breakfast was great - help yourself to the wonderful home made muffins, loafs, pastries, coffee, tea, toast, oatmeal and fresh fruit. Our stay was home away from home. We will stay there again when we return to Jacksonville on future visits.

Our 'GREAT Experience' at Magnolia Inn - Jacksonville, OR

5 am Januar 03, 2011

December 30th and 31st (2010) were the best two days/nights of our 1 week trip in Oregon. 90% of the reason was a result of our 'Experience' at the Magnolia Inn! My wife Julie and pug (Gahmi) loved everything about it! From the moment we were first greeted by Robert, to the last 'thank you and good bye' on the way out, everything was amazing! Besides the great personal service, the incredible rooms (and multiple patios/decks and common spaces), the 2 minute walk to the cute Jacksonville downtown area, there were plenty of surrounding activities (including access to Crater Lake)! The best part of my experience was enjoying a wonderful breakfast of fresh fruit, oatmeal, high-end pastries, coffee and other items with my fellow guests - in the spacious kitchen/lounge area! Like the small sign in the hall says "You come as guests and leave as friends", I made some new friends that I will be staying in contact with far beyond our 1 week trip. What did I like the least? I have to strain to try to figure something out here! OK, they didn't have FREE in-house massages for all the guests. Ridiculous I know, but that is the best complaint I have. My wife and I will be returning to Jacksonville this summer and the Magnolia Inn will be 90% of the reason why! Thanks to the owners Robert and Susan (and dog Abby) for creating/maintaining such a wonderful place! John, Julie and Gahmi (Bellevue, WA).

Definately one of our familys best Christmases!

4,0 am Dezember 29, 2010

From the hot apple cider and fresh baked cookies to the gift waiting in our room for our pooch,we felt like we were in a Christmas card! The Inn is so cozy and welcoming that it made it hard to leave. We will definately be back, hopefully very soon!

Highly Recommend

4,6 am Dezember 27, 2010

This is a great place to stay. Hospitality is exceptional and the location is perfect. We will definitely stay here again!

We love it!!

5 am Dezember 06, 2010

This was our 3rd stay at the Magnolia Inn. Robert and Susan are so kind and very helpful. It feels so comfortable there, like family. The rooms are great and the cont. breakfast is very good....local and homebaked pastries...yum. Jacksonville is a very short walk away. Great stay...we will be back very soon! Your Alturas friends

Great Experience, very accommodating!

5 am November 30, 2010

I am so happy we chose this B & B! It was the first time the entire family stayed at a Bed and Breakfast (there were 7 adults, 3 children and 2 dogs). All of us felt very welcome and comfortable. The owners had a basket of dog blankets and biscuits, fresh water bowls for the dogs. They also had a fun toy for each of the kids to play with... Their generosity was totally unexpected! The beds were very comfy, the rooms were clean (sparkling!), there were plenty of places to gather (kitchen, sitting room and upstairs balcony) to have tea, coffee or wine, or to play a game of chess, or any board game they had on their shelves. The breakfast included homemade muffins and coffee cake (Susan is a great baker!) along with hot cereal, fresh luscious fruits and an assortment of teas to choose from. There was more on the menu, but those are the items I enjoyed. Robert (the owner) was very helpful and had a wealth of information re: activities we could enjoy in the area. Both he and his wife were helpful and genuinely nice to be around. We are going back to this B & B for sure!

Nice and Relaxing

3,6 am November 25, 2010

We really enjoyed our 1 night stay at the Magnolia Inn. The room was very nice and clean. We really liked how close it was to all the shopping and dining areas of jacksonville. Overall, a great place to go and get away. The dining area upstairs was really nice and a great place to kick back and have a glass of wine or sip on some coffee/tea.

November 6, 2010

4,8 am November 10, 2010

The Magnolia in is so beautiful and charming. Robert and Susan are just fantastic. We will be back! Bill and Lisa

The best time our family has ever had

5 am Oktober 16, 2010

Its hard to say we were gonna be surprised by how much more special we could feel with our wedding weekend plans but lets try to just say "wow". We brought my entire family from the midwest to stay at the Magnolia renting the entire house for 3 days. My large but humble family were out of their socks because they had been blown off which was our intention but even those were pleasently exceeded. The beauty, the incredibly comfy beds, and friendlyness of Roger and Sue were unmatched and we left feeling all warm and fuzzy feeling apart of their family. Cannot tell how much we appreciate their kindness and just how much they and their lovely inn meant to our special days. Thank you so much! I just couldn't imagine anyone in the world having a bad experience here. Love and Prayers, all the best! Folkerts Family

relaxing stay in Jacksonville

4,8 am Oktober 09, 2010

This is a great little place! I was in town on business, and decided to go the bed and breakfast route. I was so happy I made that choice, because The Magnolia Inn was so charming. They have bath salts for a nice hot bath, an upper deck to enjoy the fresh air, and they even put breakfast out a little early when I had a work function to get to in the morning. There are several bars and restaurants and even a bakery within walking distance. The owners are very friendly, and will chat if you want, but they also seem to have a great sense for letting you be. I will definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed the stay

4,0 am September 09, 2010

Close to town and Britt Festival. Very Clean and quiet. Loved it!

An excellent find in Jacksonville, near Ashland

5 am August 25, 2010

We made a trip to the Oregon Shakespeare festival and were greeted by the gracious hosts and were made to feel right at home. Excellent home made pastries for breakfast every morning with the ripest fruit serving. I would recommend this B and B to everyone. Jacksonville has some excellent shops and is surrounded by beautiful scenery . Dr. Scott Anderson

Delightful, quiet and convenient!!

4,8 am August 14, 2010

We (two couples) just spent two delightful nights at the Inn -- within walking distance of all the Jacksonville shops, the Britt Festival and a short drive to Ashland.... so convenient in such very comfortable and pretty surroundings -- the gardens, upstairs terrace and lovely open space simply added to our comfort.

5 am Juli 25, 2010

Completely mesmerized by the English country charm of this 9 room inn. Such a drastic change from the setting in 5 stars hotels like the Inter-Continental in VIenna and Prague. The decor and ambiance here have more personality. There is enough modern amenity to make our stay very comfortable. The well stocked kitchen provided the best breakfast in the B&B I visited, none of which with the luxury of eating in the verendah. Bob and Sue are super-amiable inn owners. Who won't fall in love with the well-tended and carefully manicured garden ? WIll definitely revisit and recommend to others. Thank you for the wonderful stay we had there.

Another great stay!

5 am Juli 12, 2010

We (four friends) have just returned from spending a few days in Southern Oregon. It was the third year we have stayed at the Magnolia Inn. It is always a pleasure to return to the comforts and warmth provided by Susan and Robert Roos. They are welcoming, friendly, and happy to help in any way. We have found the inn to be a quiet, comfortable place with a nice combination of space that allows for privacy and places to gather if you want company. It is easy to walk to the downtown shops and restaurants and there are lots of places to explore. We are grateful for the hospitality provided at the Magnolia Inn.

We'll be back

4,2 am Juni 21, 2010

This was our first visit to Jacksonville. And everything went so right! The weather was wonderful, the people friendly and helpful, and the Inn was marvelous. They have thought of everything that will make a stay there comfortable. Lots of attention to little details that make the difference between an OK experience and an Oh, My! The rooms were lovely, and the bed comfortable. All normal amenities were carefully chosen and offered. But then....they go the extra mile. The kitchen area is wonderful! Refrigeration, microwave (with popcorn to accompany the VCR library for your room viewing), plate, utensils, trays--it made our "picnic" on the front lawn so easy. The front parlour is a lovely sitting area, which enabled us to plan our day trips in comfort. There are lots of outside sitting areas, providing privacy and community. The Inn is close to downtown Jacksonville--only a short 2 block walk--and all the shops and dining. We will definitely be back. They have a plaque on the stair case...."Enter as Strangers, Leave as Friends" It is not an idle thought, Robert & Susan made our trip a wonderful experience. Bill & Suzie

What a treat!

5 am Juni 15, 2010

Wonderful accommodations, in fact we utilized the kitchen and made ourselves a picnic dinner with our friends and sat outside on the lower patio. Jack (our golden retriever) got to join us while we dined alfresco. He and Abby played and enjoyed the ability to romp together. (Thanks Abby for helping to where Jack out!). We sat on the veranda in the mornings enjoying the tasty breakfast offerings taking in the view and the passers by that seemed to wish they were staying at the Magnolia Inn . One evening the four of us sat in the sitting room and planned our visit through the Applegate valley vineyards. Robert shared his thoughts and we had a spectacular day in this beautiful area. A walk through Brit Gardens, as well as many walks around town to explore the shops, historical buildings and rich history made it a fun, relaxing weekend for us Northern Oregonian’s from the other wine region of the state. McMinnville like Jacksonville is a wonderful place and we are so pleased that we vacationed in Southern Oregon. We were treated like family by Susan, Robert and Abby and plan to return hopefully sooner than later. Barry, Sue & Jack

great relaxing stay

4,8 am Juni 09, 2010

I loved the rooms that were all personalized and themed to the person they where named after. When I arrived there were chocolates on my bed waiting for me (yum!). Every moving I sat out side on the veranda and sipped my coffee while I read my book. It was so nice to slow down and really enjoy relaxing and good company with friends. The Inns is within walking distance of downtown, as a plus also. Great inn, I will be back.

Worth a visit B&B

5 am Mai 08, 2010

This delightful B&B is a must for anyone intending to stay in the area. Robert is very friendly, most accommodating and very helpful in his knowledge of the area. Susan's baked delicacies are not to be missed. Overall, we enjoyed three days at the Inn and would not hesitate to recommend this highly. Hopefully, we can manage a return trip one day.

Third Stay - Will Return

4,6 am April 19, 2010

The Jacksonville Magnolia Inn has become a tradition for our little band of sisters. For three years now, up to five life-long friends have decided to make the Inn our meeting place for a few days of wonderful, relaxed visiting and sight-seeing. Each room at the Inn is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. It's a real treat to wake up to their wonderful coffee and homemade goodies every morning. The upstairs kitchen is expansive and provides many breakfast and beverage choices. As well, Robert and Susan Roos are always very accommodating to our needs and always spend time chatting and getting to know each guest. I feel confident in recommending the Magnolia Inn in Jacksonville to all who are longing for a nostalgic, comfortable, warm and friendly place to spend a night or longer. Shane R.

Wonderful Experience

5 am März 29, 2010

We just got back from a trip to Jacksonville where we stayed at the Magnolia Inn. We had always been hesitant to stay at a Bed & Breakfast, not wanting to share a bathroom or dining with people we don't know. What a wonderful surprise the Magnolia Inn was, we had a wonderful room with our own bath & the the kitchen area for guests was set up with a refrigerator that you could keep leftovers or your own food in, coffee, teas, snacks, etc. and led to a wonderful balcony for outdoor eating and relaxing. The continental breakfast had a variety of fruits, yogurts, cereal & Susan's homemade scones. It was available from 8:00 to 10:30, so you could go at your convenience! Another of the great attractions of this Inn is that it's two blocks from downtown & easy walking distance to everything. The hosts, Robert & Susan Roos, made you feel so welcome & comfortable & were so helpful with things to see & do around the area. They also give great AAA discounts, A wonderful experience!

One of the best!

There are lots of good things about the Magnolia Inn in Jacksonville, Oregon, including attentive and thoughtful hosts, private bathrooms attached to every room, and lots of small luxurious details - but one of the best features is the guest kitchen, available 24 hours a day, with a full-sized refrigerator for leftovers or other food items, a microwave and plenty of plates, bowls, mugs, and flatware to use and place in the dishwasher when done. The makings for coffee, hot chocolate, and a variety of teas is left in the kitchen at all times, and fruit, popcorn and candy are also available. This is the first time I have encountered this amenity in a bed and breakfast, and I think it is a wonderful idea. To complete the convenience, a balcony opens off the kitchen and has tables and chairs for eating outside. I have already recommended Jacksonville's Magnolia Inn to colleagues at work and would suggest that anyone visiting Jacksonville for the history or beautiful countryside strongly consider the Magnolia Inn.

Beautiful, spotless and dog friendly!

This inn is a nice find -- charming, beautifully decorated, convenient location and completely comfortable. And we can stay with our pet! We felt very welcomed -- clearly much thought has been put into the amenities. There were treats for us as well as our dog, easy access to the nicely stocked kitchen area, our room was comfortable and cozy, and even came set up with a dog's eating area in the large bathroom. Everything was spotless. We look forward to staying here next time we're in the Medford area.

A great place

The owners, Robert and Susan Roos were very pleasant and enjoyabel. They make you feel very comfortable at home. If back in the area, I would definately stay there again.

Great Experience

Just got back from a two week stay in Oregon! The first week we stayed at Magnolia Inn and I have to say it was the best place we stayed in all of Oregon. The hosts were very nice, the room was very well decorated and felt comfortable. A few places I've stayed felt like I was in a scary movie but not here. Jacksonville itself was really nice as well, the inn is located just off the main street and has easy walking access to the whole town. Every morning there were fresh baked scones made by the owners themselves. I highly recommend this inn to anyone staying in Southern Oregon.

Ok i am picky but this place is really the best. Perfectly clean, totally non-smoking, quiet quiet quiet. Great location too. The baked goods in the morning are out of this world! Nothing wrong with this one.

breakfast disappointment

2,8 am September 02, 2009

Most bed and breakfast lodging provide a hot meal served by the host. This so-called "bed and breakfast" Inn offers self serve continental breakfast, very disappointing.

A true find in Jacksonville!

I'm so happy we found the Magnolia Inn! My husband and I now have our favorite spot to stay while in Southern Oregon. Susan and Robert's attention to detail is outstanding, from the clean and well appointed room we stayed in, to the veranda overlooking the beautiful garden where we sipped our coffee and ate fresh cherries with Susan's delicious scones. Tasteful art, books, movies, games, popcorn---there is a surprise around every corner. These innkeepers know what they are doing. You won't be disappointed!

Beautiful Place and spaces

My cousin and I on a road trip discovered the Magnolia Inn and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. It is all beautifully appointed, everywhere you look you see something interesting. The breakfast was set up for "as you please" which suited us fine. A wonderful, cozy, comfortable place to be. A must see, must stay as is Jacksonville itself, on season or off.

Enjoyed and would return

Extremely enjoyed the Inn. We would rtn again. the service and follow up by the InnKeepers was great. I highly recommend this B & B.

You have to try this Place!

5 am April 29, 2009

This place was recommended to me and since I was traveling there for work, stayed. The owners were so nice! They welcomed me, visited, told the history of the place, and even carried my luggage downstairs for me when I left. Susan had homemade coffee cake ready for breakfast which was fabulous! The rooms were elegant and yet so comfortable. The whole building was beautiful with wall hangings and flowers. The grounds were gorgeous. They have a veranda too that I want to try the next time I go -- when it's a hot sunny day. Great place -- you won't regret staying here!

Wonderful Hospitality,, Great Inn

We just returned from a lovely three days in Jacksonville and stayed at the Magnolia Inn. Robert & Susan were the most accomodating, gracious hosts. They even helped us when our paperwork for the sale of our house had to be done while we were at the inn. They made our stay very comforable & relaxing. The inn was beautifully appointed, and the overall feeling was very laid back. Rooms were very quiet & clean. Robert & Susan were a wealth of information, especially about the outdoor recreational opprotunities available (fishing). I would recommend the inn to everyone. We plan on going back for some summer fun!

My husband and I just came home from a 2 night stay in the Ashley room. It was the most relaxing and pleasant stay we have experienced during any of our trips to the Medford area. The hosts were very gracious and made us feel like part of their family. The home was very nicely decorated, without being overdone. It was a very comforatable and laid back place to stay, yet it still gave you the feeling of being pampered. Coming back to our room after a long day was almost like come home. We will definitely be going back.

Claudette Room

A bright airy room with two twin beds. Quiet, with easy access to patio and gardens. Lovely view of Jacksonville Historical Museum. Robert & Susan are friendly, wonderful hosts who know the local area well, and made great suggestions about shopping and sightseeing.

Our Stay

Toni and I were very impressed with our host and the amenities. This is a MUST stay if you are planning a mini vacation, a corporate get-a-way, or even a planning session. Great rooms-close to down town. You can walk to everything. We will be coming back to this fantistic Inn. Jack & Toni.

the most charming Inn weve stayed at!

5 am März 20, 2009

My husband and I just stayed at the Magnolia Inn in Jacksonville Oregon.Even when the owner took our reservation she made us feel appreciated and welcome! The Inn is beautiful, relaxing and quiet. We loved our room, breakfast, and the great interaction with susan and Robert.I had mentioned that my husband and myself wanted to enjoy the wineries of the Applegate during our stay, and when we arrived we had a wine guide for the Applegate wineries in our room! It was our first time in Jacksonville, we loved the food, shops and the friendly people in town. we will be back soon, and we will tell our friends they must go! Thank you Magnolia Inn.

Perfectly enjoyable!

Just spent the weekend with 7 friends at Robert and Susan's welcoming Magnolia Inn. Every aspect was what you'd hope a b and b would be, from the minute we arrived. Truly friendly, attentive hosts. The entire place was decorated with care. Beautiful fresh bedding (in my favorite colors), comfortable bed, roomy bathroom with great shower. Susan's scones and sticky buns were a tasty addition to the morning coffee, fresh fruit and other pastries. Outside, the surrounding gardens were well cared for and attractive, and the Jacksonville shops and restaurants were just afew blocks away! Looking forward to a return stay.

My Friend and I have just returned from an amazing weekend at the Magnolia Inn. We found the Bed & Breakfast to be warm and inviting. The inn-keeper Susan was absolutely a sweetheart! She baked delicious cookies served along side fresh milk one day and the best muffins the next. Both Robert and Susan were very kind and helpful. Our room was very comfortable with a beautiful view. We enjoyed having private bathrooms and found the Bed and Breakfast to be very cozy. Our expectations were blown-away by how great to value and service was. We will definitely be returning soon. Both my friend and I agree this is by far the best Bed and Breakfast we have ever been to.

Outstanding Value

4,8 am September 13, 2008

I'm not really a bed and breafast kind of guy and typically shy away from sharing bathrooms or meals with strangers. But I do look look for value and I was attracted to the low room rates of this quaint inn. I was pleased to learn that each room has ITS OWN bathroom (quite large too) and the food--mostly breakfast--items are placed out so you can take what you want back to your room or use the ample seating areas inside or outside (the balcony has a great view of the historic museum building across the street). The inn owners, Robert and Susan go out of their way to be gracious, but they don't overdo it. Each room is tastefully decorated and unique. I stayed in room 9 and was surpised to find that it is quite roomy. I have to admit that there are a lot of little touches that a B and B provides that you generally don't find with a typical hotel. There were freshly baked scones in the morning and even chocolate chip cookies and milk in the afternoon. Robert provided good recommendations for food, fishing and all the nearby sights. The inn is historic without feeling "old" and it is an easy walk around the corner to the main street of Jacksonville with some great shops and a couple good bars. Bottom line: I'm from So. CA and you can't touch a room in this area for anywhere near the low rates at this inn. Yet for less money you get the personal touches that come with dealing with "real owners" rather than a minimum wage earner behind the counter of a chain hotel who doesn't care much about your stay. I will stay at the Magnolia Inn again.

A Great Stay

5 am August 22, 2008

This was my first time staying in Oregon and my stay couldn't have been better. My wife and daughter and I stayed at the Magnolia Inn while we explored the wonderful shops and incredible beauty that is Jacksonville. We reserved the Helen Suite since we needed the extra bed and because a friend of ours had recommended the view. I must say that our trip was beyond expectation. The Magnolia Inn's owners were incredibly friendly and helpful and we didn't know it at first, but many of the delicious baked morning treats (muffins, scones) were actually baked by the owner's wife, Sue. The owner, Robert, was easy to find and always ready to help. I can't express enough how enjoyable our stay was and I'm not exaggerating when I say that our stay was perfect. We did indeed "come as strangers, leave as friends," and we will come again without a doubt. Highly recommended!

The Perfect Place to Stay

4,8 am August 21, 2008

My new finance and I took a trip to Oregon to celebrate our engagement. We stayed at the Magnolia Inn for 3 nights in one of the beautifully decorated upstairs rooms. We had a nice view of the front yard and old magnolia tree out in the garden. Jacksonville is a great historic little town to visit with a quaint main street filled with lots of nice shops and eateries. The innkeeper was really nice and was great to talk to. He gave great advice on where to go and what to see as well as history of the area and the inn itself. The accommodations were great, our room was freshened up daily and was very clean when we arrived. The Britt music festival was taking place in Jacksonville while we were there and the inn had lots of business. I was very pleased with the cost of the room since we were located so close to all the main activities and sites that Jacksonville has to offer.

You should be aware

1,6 am Juli 27, 2008

You should be aware that even if you reserve a room, the innkeeper can move your reservation to another room without your consent. We reserved a really nice room with a view of a quaint church. When we arrived, we were told that we had been moved to another room, but that it was a suite, and we would not be charged for a suite, and that filling the inn was like a "jigsaw puzzle", and they fit us were they can. The room we got had an extra sitting/bedroom room, but the view was of the owner’s driveway, and the carpet was spotted and dirty. When we asked for the room we originally reserved, the innkeeper told us that it was unavailable. The reason was that someone had wanted the room for two nights, and it was easier to bump us than to move someone else from room to room during their stay, even though we had reserved the room first. The other thing that sort of bothered me is that the innkeeper was barefoot the entire time we were there, even during breakfast. I thought it a bit too casual for a business, and unprofessional. At the continental breakfast, we were left to figure out where to find silverware, and what was offered, even though he was in the room at the time. On the bright side, the grounds are very well kept, and the location superb.

Thank you for your comments. We appreciate your feedback and take your views sincerely. We try our very hardest to accommodate specific room requests, however, in very rare situations, we do have to make some room adjustments for what would be the best for all concerned, and impacting guests the least. In this particular case, it would have required us to move another guest two times during their stay, which we considered a major inconvenience. In this situation, the reviewer was moved from a standard room to our suite – a definite room upgrade. The view was of the twin sister church of the one mentioned in the review. In the original room, the view was across a parking area and a street to the church. We try and contact all affected parties when this rare situation arises, and we apologize that, for whatever reason, it wasn’t done this time. Thank you for the comments on the carpet, we were unable to completely get the soiled area clean from the previous guests ourselves, and actually had the carpet professionally cleaned the next day. All our dining utensils and food are in the open. We would have been delighted to provide assistance, had we thought a guest was unsure of where things were. I try and make myself available during the morning to guest’s needs and conversation. We were at 100% occupancy during that week, and I’m sure we were represented in the dining area.
